Not that it matters, but another person who may have been at the dinner the day KC was released may have been GA's friend and ex-LEO from Ohio.

Was this Mallory's first deposition? Why did it take a year and a half?

I guess so but could have sworn I saw a shortish one earlier on that is nowhere to be found. Anyone else?

First let me say I am really upset that I may be about to upset the many friends I have made here at WS - but I'm not certain we all read the same depo. :tears:

But here goes:

First remember this depo was taken in November 2009, not 2008 as some posters have suggested. And that Mallory and Lee do not live together now, nor have they ever lived together. At the time of this crime, Lee had a male room mate (whose name I did not write down but I believe is on the defense witness list)

Mallory says she and ICA were not friends - have never gone "out", she has never been in ICA's car, and she saw her only occasionally - at family get togethers. ICA never confided in her.

Mallory says she and CA were closer although CA did not tell her ICA was stealing from her, Lee did not tell Mallory ICA stole from him, but CA did tell her ICA had taken her mother's (SP) banking/checking information.

Was at the house the night of the day ICA was arrested - the car was not there. Family in a sheer panic as was Mallory. They knew ICA was safe but where was Caylee.

Mallory believed ICA worked full time at Universal as an event planner. Thought CA and GA primary caregivers but there was an occasional nanny - never heard her name.

Saw ICA and the family twice between the arrests, the first night she came home and once more before she was again arrested.

Stated Lee believes no one else was involved in Caylee's disappearance
Stated George has never told her he thought anyone else was involved.
Stated CA has never told her she thought anyone else was involved.

Stated as of November 2009, Lee, CA and GA believe Caylee is dead.

Bits of this and that throughout the depo, but from my point of view, this is a not very bright girl who believed, as the family did, that Caylee was kidnapped, but there is no sense she is close to this family and didn't and still doesn't see them more than once or twice a month at most. She said sometimes she didn't see them for two months at a time. Mallory could hardly be considered a confidante. She also gave me the impression she was being careful to separate what she read/heard in the media, and what the Anthony's told her during this initial first period.

All are my "readings/comprehension" of Mallory's depo and as I have long suspected - not important at all. And I want to head you all off at the pass by telling you I despise Koolaid and would never consider drinking it.

Oh, I agree with you. I didn't want to put that she wasn't too bright but since you did... lol I agree. She can't be.

I'm fully aware of when the depo was done. However..... I was with WBG (not White Boy Greg) in thinking that maybe Lee had tricks up his sleeve and was actually on Caylee's side. After reading this, a balloon deflated in me and I realized no. Alas. Maybe NOW things are different, but then? No. (and that's a huge maybe.... you know?)

I chalk it up to disgust in me in believing differently and venting, projecting onto someone else, using this depo maybe to vent about everything... that really NOBODY stood for Caylee.

I'm cognizant of it all but... lol... you know. Gotsta vent sometimes.

Actually Mallory made a point of saying she and ICA were not close - once in a while exchanged texts with ICA, but never went "out" with her, had never been in her car, and even in early 2008, would sometimes go for two months without seeing ICA or Caylee, or speak to them. Not friends - ICA was her boyfriend's sister.

They had several mutual friends, which was how LA knew where to go look for ICA when she rushed out the bar. I still question today why LA told parents NOT to take a lie detector test when Caylee was "missing". IMO LA was letting ICA stay at his house many night when he knew CA was looking. They will never clean up this mess that not only ICA made but the whole bunch. Remember throwing away all the memorial stuff??

Wow, the perfect Stepford family! Is this girl a robot or what? The most interesting thing about the entire depo was Jose's questions at the end about the family's possible involvement in relocating Caylee's body (taking it from Surburban and then I guess returning it after the searches). Maybe this is a hint on where the defense is heading in this trial.:waitasec:

I totally agree with you! But, I do find it difficult to believe that Lee never really talked to her about any of it, and she never asked. He was her boyfriend, for at least 2 yrs at the time! They just didn't talk about it? That is the part that bothers me, and I tend not to believe it.

None of the stuff about CA or GA or Casey is any type of revelation. IMO of course.

Except the depo says alot by what it doesn't say. It's shockingly vacant from who should have still been looking in with outside eyes. Does that make sense?

They have now dragged Mallory into their quagmire.

She would have replied that he never mentioned that to her but she may have heard about it through the media. Of course that didn't prompt her to ask him about it!

Wonder why she wasn't asked about the day Caylee was found. It went quick. Within minutes of LE and FBI showing up to see what RK found - the site was blocked off and a sheriff's unit was sent to the house. MP showed up at that house and went inside. LE went in and got her and escorted her out.

Really wonder why no one asked any questions about why she went there, who had called her and told her what, what she was getting or doing (I kinda remember some lame story about the dogs).

I woulda asked some of those questions................

Wow what a disgrace. I feel so bad for Caylee being mixed up with such a perfect storm of clueless dysfunctional people. Unbelievable. Loved the "did you help in any of the searches" and she says "no". Way to step up!

And the eternally vigilant Lee, who would follow up IF an opportunity presents itself. In other words, if someone offers him the info, he's open to accepting it, but other than that, he's just gettin' on with life.

Also, she doesn't remember anything LDB asks, but she sure FIRES out the "right" answers when JB is questioning her. Well, don't want to get banned so I'll just leave it at that.

Yes, I can't get over them never talking about it either. I think Mallory knows much more. Plus, if she was so NOT involved then why would not only her but I believe her mother as well, hold some position in the whole Caylee Foundation that GA/CA started.:waitasec:
