I agree, JBean. I cannot tell you the amount of respect I have for Amy & TonE simply because we have not seen them on TV discussing Casey or her family. Though I'm obviously addicted to this case I think there is Waaay too much information out there that way too many people are giving information and blabbing everything they know.

I am amazed at the freedom of information act in Florida- I have never seen so much info released in a case before. In an ideal world there should have been a gag order on day 31 IMO!

Florida's sunshine laws were enacted long before we ever knew of freedom of information and I, for one, am very pleased with the release of information. LE agencies have learned to live within these laws and I don't think any prosecutions have been compromised. Florida seems to have as many people on death row as any other state. I think the laws have the effect of forcing the prosecution to do things by the book. JMO.

Thanks for saying this. I very much agree!

I agree, too...something didn't sit right with me.
Also, I would love to ask if him if HE thought Casey went to work.
(her faking a job and everyone believing it, to me, is one of the weirdest aspects of this story, imo...I mean...how is that possible?!?!?!)

I had to feel sorry for Jesse when I saw this this morning. He really cared about Caylee and the perp too. Poor guy. Does anyone remember when they broke up? Wasn't that some time ago? Seems he still cares...

The internet is an employer's latest tool to screen potential employees. They do background checks, google, and check out Sex offender registries, Facebook and Myspace. It's also advised that everyone does this for potential babysitters and dates.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/06/20/eveningnews/main1734920.shtml

(snip)
But, as CBS News correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi reports, an increasing number of potential employers are accessing these profiles — and using them to decide whom they hire.

http://technology.findlaw.com/articles/00006/010851.html

(snip)
An employee recently argued that he improperly was terminated based on his employer's Google search relating to his prior work background. Should such an argument stick? Well, it did not in this particular case, Mullins v. Department of Commerce, just decided on a non-precedential basis by the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

OT

I've been trying to make my kids understand this for a couple of years. A minute worth of gossip on myspace can follow them forever. My youngest is so smart, "but mom I only give my professional (LOL, she's 20) acct to perspective employers!) Yes, because perspective employers are too stupid to do any traces or google hunts! These kids know so much but are so naive!!!:computer:

I just keep saying I'm so glad there was no internet, no myspace and no digital cameras or photobucket when I was 18. So many things I never had to explain to my own kids. :blushing:

If I ever go back to work, or work in my former capacity of interviewing new hires; google and facebook will be my new best friend!! (off the record of course!!) :online:

I know and for 2 years!! That's a long time!

I feel bad for any young man who got caught up with Casey and got attached to her child, but JG and his dad never miss a beat to complain about how this affected him/them. He was complaining about this affecting his ability to apply for jobs, and I could tell he was referring to Cindy's fears about him (due to Casey's lies) and not the fact that he had been engaged to Casey. Also, Jesse was comparing Casey back then to now and saying how in the beginning she was all about shaping her career around Caylee. I thought WHAT career, she was doing nothing to further a career and wasn't even going to school or working. She was lying and deceiving all the time. It doesn't seem that Jesse has ever gotten just how deceptive Casey was even while he was going with her.

Today Show probably asked him to come on and put a human element to the remains being identified. To put the focus on the little girl and how much she will be missed.

Just guessing but: I sense Jesse was mesmerized by Casey. I could see him being maybe jealous or maybe not real thrilling for her. I could see her totally pulling the wool over his eyes, and as such, having the control in the relationship. Probably using him for a while, but maybe as she got more confident (post HS) and prettier, she probably just sort of starting using him. I think she probably felt she was too good for him at some point, or could do better, but she kept him on the "back burner" for whenever she needed him.

And when need be, she threw him under the bus.

Right, or what he was talking about when he said at first Casey was focused on building her career around the family/Caylee... Umm.. what career, her fake job?

This is her modus operandi. She's been able to pull the wool for so long that it's now her nature.

She lived with her parents and fooled them so I believe that it's very possible that she fooled this naive guy. He seems nice but not the brightest bulb in the package. What a way to wake up to the big bad world-KC. She could have taken money from him saying her paycheck was going to other expenses and she could have taken money from her parents telling them the same thing.
I think this is what the search for escort services was all about. In the end, I wouldn't be a bit surprised to find out she sold herself for money.

Im in a lot of mixed emotions about this..

I see a young guy being called and asked to put forward his side or how he feels now that Caylee is gone..
From what he said his life is pretty icky at the moment and so for him to be able to get on TV and show how its affected him, he probably jumped
Also if he isn't earning any money and they offered a sum to come on speak (to BOOST THEIR RATINGS)
He probably jumped at the opportunity as well.

He wasnt Caylees father, I am unsure as to how much time that he spent with Caylee ?
But I'm sorry the tears ? didn't do it for me - i felt them to be rather (dare I say it) fakish
to get the maximum impact
Of course I believe that he is upset, genuinely upset - after all WE ARE ALL UPSET and we don't even know Caylee...
But the whole TV thing - well I think its more about the person doing the Interview than who they are talking about..

JMHO

PS I DO Believe he is very upset as I said. As we all are, and he actually knew Caylee.

After watching him on the show...the young man is a mess. No doubt another victim of KC's "collateral damage Orlando tour 2008".

No doubt he is clear of anything. (except bad taste in women)

I'm certainly not going to question JGs sincerity. He's clearly hurting. My guess is he goes to Today show because they call him and ask, repeatedly. Maybe it's therapeutic for him to talk about it in that forum. I think I could probably give a pretty good interview about how this case has affected and consumed my life for months.

Jesse doesn't even know if he and his parents will be permitted by the A's to go to the funeral. How heartbreaking for him to love Caylee so deeply, and not know if he will be allowed to say good bye to her and help lay her to rest. I hope the A's think about what Caylee would have wanted and not what they want.

If I were Cindy, I would do everything possible to keep myself from crying in public. No way would I give the people who have been so cruel the satisfaction of seeing me cry. I keep thinking of the song from Grease - "but to cry in front of you, that's the worst thing I could do."

Besides, if Cindy broke down she'd be accused of faking, just like when she held that little girl at one of the vigils and wouldn't let her go.

Seeing Cindy holding that little girl in her arms was one of the most heartbreaking things I've ever witnessed. I could see Cindy remembering holding Caylee in the same way. If she could have just sat there all night with that little girl in her arms, it would have been just fine by her. I also observed the child's reaction, she wasn't squirming or trying to get away. If Cindy was the person most of the public paints her to be, that little girl wouldn't have let her hold her so close for as long as she did, kids are smarter than that.

I don't doubt any of the Grund's sincerity, for an instant but I believe we're also seeing guilt.

KC was going to be their daughter in law, Caylee was as close to being a grandchild as they will ever have. But when Jesse and KC broke up, they severed their ties with Caylee too. KC obviously keeps her exes close. (boundaries again) Why has Jesse not seen Caylee since last winter? Why didn't the Grunds continue to see Caylee a couple times a month? This I don't understand.

I'm with you. When I saw that on the news, that was the first time I was overcome with compassion for cindy.

I thought to myself, she should do that more often (embrace & feel her true emotions).

When you are really devastated the tears come without meaning to. There is not way to stop them, for anyone truly crushed with pain. Think about that.

Jesse G should be on TV. He reminds all of us that there is real human emotion other than anger with somebody involved in this case.

Jesse G. is close to kc, more so than any other outside person in this case. He loved her. He loved Caylee. Further, it is still most likely, he still loves KC, and is angry and grief-stricken.

Concerning their relationship, they never disconnected. Untill this year, they were together and lovers again. She was his first love and holds that special place. Imagine if your first love murdered and innocent baby. JG's father said he is too sensitive to have been a policeman, and that he has a good heart. I agree with the Reverend. KC took total advantage of his caring ways all the way up to the end. To think that he let her come to his house that day, and to find out later, she had just disposed of Caylee must sicken him. He is someone who shows sadness, caring and love, and help the rest of us know that there is a "Good Guy" in all of this ugly mess.

He is probably kicking himself, thinking he could have saved this child and that is why he is crying. We know he couldn't have saved her. It wasn't his fault, but he doesn't believe that. His tears are real as was his love.

I am very glad to have seen him. I am sure many other people feel the same.
I still have some trouble connecting JG with that steamy text message to KC and how they talked about the snot nosed kid. He just seems so different in interviews than what I got from the text message. But then sex is a powerful thing.

buckeyefan, I believe that was AR not JG. He was the PO that was found to have lied when questioned by his superior's about having had a relationship with KC and he was discharged.
