Andrea Lyon has a book to promote, and NBC&#8217;s &#8220;Today&#8221; is giving her a national platform.

Lyon&#8217;s &#8220;Angel of Death Row: My Life as a Death Penalty Defense Lawyer&#8221; came out earlier this week. Lyon is doing a reading in Greenwich Village tonight.

She will be a guest on Thursday&#8217;s &#8220;Today,&#8221; WESH-Channel 2 reported this afternoon. &#8220;Today&#8221; starts at 7 a.m. on WESH.

A member of Casey Anthony's defense team will make an appearance Thursday on NBC's "Today" show.

Defense attorney Andrea Lyon, who is taking the lead on the death penalty aspect of the trial, will discuss her new book, "Angel of Death Row."

Lyon is a leading critic of the death penalty and so far has led an unsuccessful effort to eliminate capital punishment as a possibility for Casey Anthony.
