I totally agree Truth, Caylee in the spare tire well makes sense to me.

That is why the perp felt "safe" to drive around with Caylee in the boot - she was not immediately visable. Poor little Caylee was out of sight, out of mind.

Also explains the following:
- GA not seeing anything on wheel choc day
- The perp make a HUGE deal out of having flat tires exactly fridays in a row. (conscienceness of guilt or a some sort of weird alabi to prove there was nothing in the wheel well)
- The Stain. Maybe the process of osmosis sucked up the fluids as they leaked?

I bet the perp thought that concealing the body would also conceal the smell - WRONG B!TCH.

I think we determined the stain on the fiberboard at the bottom of the well was probably from spillage of the bag because the stain is just not big enough. The picture with the carpet cover for the well however does show what "could be" the outline of a child. Also SA's experts say the decomp in the trunk was for 2.6 days only so we know KC dumped Caylee early on. She was not riding around with her for days and certainly Caylee was not in the trunk on day 31 as there would have really been a mess. JMO

I agree but even riding around with the body of the baby for 2.6 days is a long time in my book! If she had Caylee squished down and tripple bagged, then the bags of rubbish on top of the tire well, maybe in the perps mind she had disguised everything pretty well. :furious:

What I don't understand is why GA didn't smell anything on the 24th. I just watched his FBI interview again and he WAS at the trunk of the Pontiac and could partially see the open trunk.:waitasec:

I thought that was the reason LE collected the shop vac. But then I thought I read that the contents were not tested. Maybe someone can jog my memory.

Also, the white ring around the stain could be hydrogen peroxide. Nurses use it to remove blood stains. That would also kill DNA.

Good point about peroxide being used as a disinfectant. I doubt that it explains the white ring though. Since peroxide acts as a bleaching agent (removes color) and the trunk liner doesn't appear to have been bleached, I would guess that the white "salty" stuff on/near the stain had to come from something else.... just not sure what.

Could very well be the reason LE took every single type of vacume/carpet cleaner from the A's home. We have yet to see the results on the vacume contents or the filter contents.

According to this note in the docs it appears the vacuums are not going to be examined.

Don't forget too that rigor mortis sets in about 3 hours after death so if Caylee was in the trunk unbagged until the following day when KC could get back to her she would have still been stiff as rigor last about 12 hours and then gradually the body disappates.....so KC would have had a hard time hiding her other than covering her over with something or if she were bagged. JMO

I'm convinced Caylee was in the trunk of the Sunfire but I'm still unsure of her being in the spare tire space. Looking at this pic I wonder if the spare tire space was deep enough to hold her little body...she was almost 3 and that space holds a little doughnut tire...is the space big enough? Also, how would the fluid get on the underside of the spare tire covering if Caylee was beneath it? Seems to me that if she would have been in that space the fluid would have pooled in the bottom of the space in the trunk, maybe even drained out from under the car.

Also, I believe the white splotches and outlines are from bleach used to clean the trunk.
Caylee's car seat strap could have been pushed down in into the Sunfire's seat causing it to be in the trunk area where it might have been splashed with the cleaner.

Most concerning for me is Caylee's carseat...I've manipulated the images, adjusting saturation, tent, and contrast and it just looks like something happened while Caylee was in that carseat..did KC beat her or stab her...or both? Did she tape her up first to keep her quite while she was on her cell phone? Did she beat her with the phone? O so many questions and so few answers. I can't wait for the trial when the SA will put all the missing pieces together for us.

I was off on the length and width but to me the depth of only 6 inches is the kicker. Also with the dimensions Wescott was able to provide the total amount of space is only 2.3 cu ft. Caylee was 37 inches tall (3ft1) given body proportions that would make Caylee roughly 15 inches wide at the shoulders. So she wouldn't fit on her side in that space and be completely covered by the carpeted lid. That and she would be to tall for her to be on her back. If her legs were tucked up she would still be coming out of the 6 inch deep compartment. To me Caylee just doesn't fit in that space in a way that the cover can be placed over her to cover her and look normal. That and the stain suggests something was on top of it and leaked through the carpet to the board.

I personally think she was placed in the trunk on top of the spare cover. Possibly bagged and other items were placed in the trunk to conceal her. Such as the trash from TL's and the gas cans and such.

Interesting notation about not examining the vac's- what was the determining factor for "no need" to examine them? Apparently they had a tc about it, in June....June?

Yes, that does seem to be the most plausible theory. I really think when KC left the house the night of the "Big Fight" she was oooooo sooooo pissed. I think that is when she killed Caylee and I'm really thinking Caylee might have been in that car seat when KC actually did the deed.

hi Momtective- I don't see any way that Caylee could've fit into that spare tire well, either. The trunk of this car is so small that I'm surprised that she could manage to hide even a little body in there. If indeed it was in there when her dad confronted her this could be why she had "clothes" in there, whether George recognized the laundry bag, or random clothing items were concealing something. I hope LE probed into that some more.

re the carseat: I have two in my car and they get stains that would make anyone shudder! Think spilled juice, milk, yogurt, peanut butter and jelly, soggy ground-in crackers, you name it. These things can get pretty gross, giving "foul play" a whole new meaning!

I am both heartbroken and ill, knowing precious Caylee laid in the trunk of her car. I mean, this was told from the beginning but just seeing the evidence wreaks havoc on my heart. As a mother and grandmother, I just cannot understand the evil held in the heart of KC. How do you do this to a child, a gift from God, a miracle..so sad..I've cried so much for this child I never had the pleasure of meeting. Had she been my granddaughter, she'd still be here with us. I am so angry at all the Anthony's, they truly should be ashamed of themselves.

I also want to thank you all for the great work you do in analyzing the evidence.

How did CA clean out that trunk, knowing her grandchild could have been the one who was deceased back there? How did they not call the authorities from the tow yard? Why did she was those clothes KC had in the trunk, they would have contained a treasure trove of evidence? How did KC's parents elude arrest?

As far as the carseat goes, does anyone remember the deposition from CA. When the SA was asking her about the carseat and Caylee's teeth. Did anyone see if CSI found one of Caylee's teeth in the car seat or the rear seat where Caylee's carseat sits?? I don't remember seeing any results from that or on that.
