More like Casey Anthony hell... :) welcome to the gates...

Have you even attempted to read them yet? It's more like Casey... I don't know if I am allowed to say the actual word here but... in Satan's dwelling!

Tylenol (Aleve for me) earned a nice profit today!
I said it for you... :)

Sure could be.

It could also be someone in a panic trying to make it look like a kidnapping gone bad.

I'm really not trying to defend her here, but if a mother was in the habit of tranquilizing her child to go out and party and then the child dies, it's not first-degree murder.

The thing is the defense doesn't have to prove she didn't have a guilty mind per mens re, (the act does not make a person guilty unless the mind be also guilty), the prosecution has to prove she did.

That she sedated the child in the past creates some level of reasonable doubt as to her intent to kill.
It IS first degree murder. If the child dies during the commission of another crime, ie: child abuse: drugging the child with illicit drugs, then it becomes 1st degree murder by default. I think this has been established many times over...correct? Mr. Hornsby, since you are here???:waitasec:

I have been thinking about KC’s “unconditional love for my daughter” statement. Is this a an example of KC using a phrase incorrectly or does it have a different meaning? In conversation with mentally healthy people, this would imply that Caylee was somehow flawed/ imperfect. KC bragged that she had unconditional love for this imperfect toddler. This is beyond sick because toddlers ARE perfect to mentally healthy parents who understand that toddlers act like toddlers. Perhaps KC was expressing her delusion that SHE was the good mother because she could love the imperfect child. This implied that she is very different from other mothers including her own. Is she angry that her own mother would not unconditionally love her and accept the murder of Caylee?

I always considered the term unconditional love to cover things that could happen in the future. That there is nothing they could ever do now or 10 years from now, that would change the way I feel.

But you do bring up a very good point

I just finished reading through all the letters (although quickly) and early on, it occurred to me that that most things KC was "sharing" with her new friends were things that were being speculated and discussed at length on this forum, as well as others, over a year ago to months ago. As I got further through the letters, this trend seemed to get more prevalent.

The above underlined...

The alleged sex abuse by GA and/or Lee

The attorneys "sneaking" contraband into the jail

Analysts suggesting KC takes on the personality of those she is trying to engage (re: newfound religion similar to that of Robyn)

So many things like this...it almost appears as if KC is confirming all the speculations discussed online, but SHE doesn't have online access...

But someone could certainly encourage her to "respond" by befriending an inmate who might seem like the perfect candidate to eventually leak the letters....

I am smelling a defense setup big time...

Need to reread slowly, but did I read a reference in one of the letters that Hernandez had previous dealings with Baez....???

I did notice on page 258 (wesh.com), KC writes to Robin that she is glad "Jose came through for you" in regards to getting "Michelle and Mike" to represent her?

Respectfully Quoted Kentjbkent :)

I was here early today and got the gist of the letters, before I had to sign off because of the deep confusion I was feeling at the information we were getting.

I am back this evening(I want to stay away from this case but I don't, it is nutso) and after reading this post(thank you!)and only reading the first sentence: I have found some of the confusion I was feeling. ITA with bolded and I'm sure the rest of the post. :) I get that feeling too!

The fact that Casey can even talk about "bad" things that have happened to her, and not be immobile and sickened about what happened to her daughter(especially if Casey was not the one who killed her): shows me what kind of person Casey is. Whatever Casey has gone through in life re: abuse is wrong, all abuse is wrong but that she is worried about that and not what her daughter went through...?

I really disliked Cindy more than Casey through most of this but now: they are equal in the total repulsion I feel for both these "women"(and I don't really want to insult women by calling them that.)

Going now to read more. Thanks everybody.

P.S. I had a good realization last week that is helping me right now. The State represents: Caylee. When the trial starts, the trial is Caylee vs. Casey: is it okay to say that? Is that how it is seen legally? TIA. It's how I think of it now.

Excellent thoughts, imo. I still believe the duct tape was symbolic of shutting Caylee up ~ and have always wondered what Caylee could've told Cindy? It could be. MOO

She was certainly at the tell-all age!

Even if it wasn't necessarily sexually motivated but power, animosity, punishment or to strip her of her innocence. I could be wrong, but I think a female predators could have different motives than males?
Especially given the crap we've waded through today where her mother says she is content Caylee is safe, free from abuse...

Reading KC's letters....I had two thoughts...
1. She is a very sad, pathetic, delusional (adult) child....almost felt sorry for her...she seems kind of "simple."
2. She is a consummate liar.... can she be that cunning of a liar as to write these letters knowing that they are available for public knowledge? Or could she just seriously have been screwed up by her family?

Because I always like to read the source documents, I tried to read these letters.

But life is too short for me to waste any more time with this drivel. I gave up before I got to the monkeys.

I kinda thought that KC expressed herself well (she is not illiterate).....much can be gleaned from her writings...imo....

I agree Pattymarie.

Could be as simple as yet another example of how KC tends to use "big words" too much, without fully understanding their meaning. I don't think KC grasps the concept of "unconditional" and probably equates it to "undying". For as you can see with KC, she certainly holds everyone in her life - friends, family, etc - to conditions.

IMO It just shows how practiced she is at altering her reality (in her head) as a means to avoid feeling anxious or sad or scared or any other negative emotion. She shuts off, detaches from reality and creates a different one to focus on when things start "getting real".... chatting about sports, getting drunk, having sex with random people and IMO the "self soothing" we see when she is in court is part of that as well.

That could be. Or it could also be her remembering for a second that maybe she ought to mention Caylee at least a few times. It almost seems forced when she speaks about her. Like she is trying to be pretend sad - But she isn't good at it. IMO

^ and now they are logs to throw under the bus to veer it from its natural course.

Excellent point Eidetic - one that hadn't even occurred to me. I wonder what research/information is available on female offenders' motives vs. male offenders' motives - probably very little.

Yes but at times it seems like she's trying to portray herself as EXTRA-literate, haha.
Casey is not illiterate, true, and you are correct she inserts improper words and unlikely words into unacceptable spaces and places. She makes spelling errors/word mix ups that most people are able to overcome in grade school-ie: hence she spells it hints, and past, (as in it is over) she spells it passed. She hyphenates one syllable words (though). She bounces all over the place with never a paragraph dedicated to a single subject. She uses phrases like gave me chills in my appendages, like that somehow makes her appear as intelligent, when she could have said it gave me chills and fluidly made her point without sounding stuffy or false...That is what I get from her misuse of the language, she uses it improperly and it makes her appear shallow and not intelligent in the least.:banghead: Me thinks the lady doth try too hard to appear smart...it isn't HARD for smart people to appear thus.:blushing:

Did anyone else find it concerning when she says "Is it wrong for her to NOT want to know what happened to Caylee?"

It is in the letter where she is discussing the funeral arrangements talking about getting "a little bit of closure."

Don't have the page sorry, had to give my eyes a rest, bad enough I had to get my glasses out for the first time in months.

Interesting points, for sure. It does make me wonder. MOO

Have to say good night now....

Her mother does the exact thing. GA doesn't even try though!

That would be me......

And I agree some of these speculations were discussed on NG, but I sure don't recall NG speculating that CA may have brought chloroform into the Anthony home, but I sure recall it being speculated on THIS forum....

Thank you for letting me know it was you that had posted that Kentjbkent. I wasn't trying to be rude but the thread was moving so fast I didn't think I would find your post again.

You know what? As soon as I read this response what popped into my head? The pages and pages of printed copies from WS threads found IIRC in the Anthony family trash?

I'm still trying to read her letters but I'm only on page 154 and I don't think I'll make it all the way through.
