Thank you so much Patty. This is very interesting.

When you say, "out of Custody" do you mean she was taking out of jail for some reason?

This is the notice I received:
The inmate for whom you registered, MISTY CUMMINGS with offender number SJSO10MNI002273, is no longer in the custody of the ST. JOHNS COUNTY JAIL as of 4/13/2010.

When I check the site, it states:
Offender Name: MISTY JANETTE CUMMINGS
Offender ID: SJSO10MNI002273 Date of Birth: 12/09/1991 Age: 18
Custody Status: Out of Custody Reason: Unknown
Date: 04/13/2010 Race: White Gender: Female

I checked Putnam County a few minutes ago and she is not in their system as in "un-supervised" custody. Normally when she is transferred to Putnam County court she shows up in Putnam as "un-supervised".

Can someone please tell me why LE would tell the Cummings family the night before a search that it was going to take place? I thought they always kept the family away from the site, because of the trauma it could cause. So they give the Cummings a heads up? They tell them where the tip came from? Does any of this make sense? I'm horrified!

just joining....very interesting...

Simon Barrett blog had a poster saying that at 9:00 last night, one poster to the site said that his father solved the mystery and that it would probably be on the news today. And sure enough, it was.

A short time ago, Haleigh's family arrived at the Putnam County Jail, where Sheriff Jeff Hardy said that officials are conducting interviews with the family in addition to the search.
Haleigh's father and mother, Ronald Cummings and Crystal Sheffield; her grandparents; and her great-grandmother, Teresa Neves are among those called to the jail.
According to a friend of the family, Lisa Finnley, the relatives were meeting with the sheriff. She described the atmosphere as tense, saying some members of the family were in tears.
Hardy declined to confirm or deny if Haleigh has been found

They claim that they did not want the family to find out from the media, about the search.

from this vid: search underway, detectives say they are following a lead, media kept half mile back....the family has been to area, dive teams in the water.

Haleigh's family waited a year for answers. Matt safer talked with family. Chief investigators were with Haleigh's Grandmother while he was on the phone with them and investigators were telling them they MUST STAY AWAY, as to not contaminate evidence.

The family actually went to the scene yesterday....YESTERDAY!and detectives told them to leave the scene! Ronald and crystal are going to meet with detectives this afternoon! Crystal will drive RC will be transported.

TN says they are holding on to hope. RC is in jail on unrelated charges....he will be brought across from jail to an investigative unit and will meet up with crystal in the room to talk. Family know where the tip came from but can't release the info! Do not want to interfere with investigation....

I'm getting some flack about the Twitter post I made. Please know I'm not saying that one source is better than another. Levi was only an example. My MAIN CONCERN is that we don't link to personal Twitters. I'm not trying to say who is reliable and who is not, I'd just like to protect the innocent if at all possible.

I hope everyone understands.

Also if you go to Levi's fb page, the comments there are interesting too . Oh, God, this is just heartbreaking . I think we all KNEW , but prayed so hard that a miracle could come out of it .

:( Prayers for Haleigh and her family.

Usually a family gathered like at one time by LE isn't for questioning....it's to break bad news.

Good afternoon everyone. Prayers that Haleigh is brought home today.

We've got 376 people in this thread. That's alot of caring hearts.

I would think misty is at Putnam jail also. For all to be in tears, they must have bad news. But calling a family to the jail to give news is something foreign to me. This makes no sense.

Hardy would not confirm if they found a body. Well, if they didn't, He should certainly say so.
