Naming that many POI's makes me believe charges will be soon. To name that many they have lots of evidence and reasons.

I don't know what to make of all of this except that JO is not ruled out but they must not have anything to charge him with either...the term "lawyered up" has special significance to LE...he stopped talking, in other words...

I think he confirmed it was Misty in a way, who is the source, when she said she now realizes she is in trouble...

Yeah, I was referring more to the way the Sheriff said it, it sounded like he has not been as cooperative as his lawyer has stated previously.

I just have a feeling Joe is not THE killer. NO WAY would he hang around and put up posters with Misty before hightailing it out of town.

This makes me think that there might be some validity to the letter accusing Misty of being at a party with Haleigh, where Haleigh overdosed and died at the scene. And then discarded by people at the party.

Maybe all this did go down over that stupid fight over the gun.

IMO it is quite possible JO knew RC was working that night and showed up to bully MC and took HC and killed her. We are talking about a bunch of drug heads. Anything is possible.

Maybe RC did not say anthing because he has a lot to hide. IMO

I don't think RC had anything to do with HaLeigh's death or the disposal of her body, but I think he may have known what happened after the fact.

I think they found bones, and I think they have a confession from a witness.

I tend not to think they have a confession or a witness statement they fully trust so far, because he emphasizes that the leads came from people who are just "starting" to crack and that he/LE are going to be patient and persistent to get to the bottom of this.

IOW, think they believe they got a story that had some truth in it, but not the full truth.

Now I cannot get RC's statement about Joe liking to throw small animals to the gators to watch them fight and die out of my head. This could be so very horrific. I never thought I'd hope she died from an overdose more than I do now.

If I recall... Sheriff said that every LE on the planet have been talking with Joe and then he lawyered up. I was thinking he was talking and knew shizzle was about to hit the fizzle so his lawyer came back in the picture. If I recall, he's had that lawyer before HaLeigh went missing. I may be wrong but...

I'm :furious: all over again that so many people knew what happened to that little girl & said NOTHING for so long!

Putting those who loved her thru all this long drawn out misery just wondering what happened to their little angel.

I agree. Misty pointed the finger at JO ages ago, and to me (IMHO) it was glossed over. Per mama O, he hasn't been questioned in 6 months (until recently).

No one has been charged for her murder yet, contrary to some erroneous reports, and investigators still don’t have enough probable cause to sell a judge on issuing a warrant to arrest cousin Joe Overstreet.

He was recently named as the mystery man who Misty Croslin says showed up at Ronald Cummings trailer with Tommy Croslin the night she reported Haleigh missing to allegedlly steal his prized guns. Only Misty claims Joe couldn’t find the guns, got angry and snatched Haleigh instead. She has said Tommy left on his own, but her brother is now saying he went with Joe to watch him dump the body.
