2010.04.15 Presser Video: Sheriff, Haleigh Likely Dead; POI Identified

  • #361
Yes I thought that early on as well. No crime scene at the MH. When he said she died in the area probably in someones home.

so that is why LE went door to door asking personal info to the neighborhood and went into lock down mode.
and was asking about a 1990's Chysler GRAY VAN..........!!!!!!

There is so much I want to scream out....but don't want a T/O! I will be brief...
First Thank God for all the investigators and the people that did not give up on Haleigh!
I pray that LE was able to recover Haleigh and all things that will tie to her murder!

I blame the DCF for this as much as the killer and the accomplices!
So many reports that were ignored! I pray that LE has that "Needle" that will end up putting someone on the table! Enough is Enough, this precious baby girl didn't have a chance since she came into this world. I can't question why this would happen to her, the Lord only knows why he called on her so early on. At least now she will live happy for eternity in the arms of the Lord. I am sure she is shining down on all of us right now rejoicing....you didn't give up on me!
Play with the angles Haleigh..we love you! :blowkiss:

I think this has some relevance to the recent happenings. JMO

During the visit recorded in the most recent video, Croslin urged Misty to tell police everything she knows about Haleigh's disappearance, even if it means giving investigators information about her ex-husband, Ronald Cummings.

"I want you to forget about Ronald, and if you know anything Ronald did, you need to come forward," Croslin said. "Do not protect him because he's not going to protect you."

Cummings said she doesn't think she'll get a fair trial on the drug trafficking charges that landed her behind bars. She called the $1.3 million bail ridiculous, and said her jail time is unwarranted.

"They just targeted you for the Haleigh case, that's why you're in there right now," Croslin told her. "They can't use that against me though, Dad," Cummings replied. "This is two different cases. They cannot do that, Dad."

Croslin said that even his daughter's own attorney is skeptical and thinks that she is not telling everything she knows about Haleigh, who has now been missing for more than a year.

"He says he wasn't going to leave you. He's gonna stick with you to the end. He just wishes that you would be straight with him. He's your lawyer, He won't do anything to harm you," Croslin told his daughter.

Sheriff Hardy is close to breaking down during this presser. When he says it's a homicide case his voice cracks. I feel for these LE that have been trying so hard for a year to find this little girl. This is going to affect them all for the rest of their lives and careers. :prayer:

I agree, Hardy was moved to tears when he started talking about what it's all for. I believe him when he says talked about how hard these men and women have worked, and I will say it again, they want the killer....not a scapegoat.

From what I gather when he was asked if the tip came from behind bars he had an unusual expression on his face and then stated "I'm not gonna discuss where the tips came from" I believe Misty is starting to talk. When he was asked about Misty being out there he got that look again. And then stated Look people are starting to cooperate etc... I truely believe Misty is talking and that's why they had her out there yesterday also. I can't see her lawyer letting her go out there where they are searching for a body to try to get her to talk or scare her etc.. It's gotta be because she is talking..
IMO!

I keep thinking how RC came out of that meeting after hearing what we just heard.

That smug look on his face.

No falling down, no crying.
BBM
Wasn’t it said they were there for a few hours?
If so then IMO he may have done those things inside and gained control while walking out.
I’m not going to judge his reaction to any news he may have received by
what was seen in those few min. of him walking out.
I also didn't see a smug look on his face... I guess we all see different things.

Joe Pytko gave an affidavit right? I had forgotten about that. I need to go back and have a look again at that whole scenario. Thanks for reminding me.

I will be joining you...just one question, wouldn't R jr. have told someone that they were out or do you think they left him at the MH? :waitasec:

To say Homicide, they must have some physical evidence.
What a sad day!! Bless little Haleigh.
(is this the day both Haleigh & Gabriel will be found??)

Sorry to go OT, but is there new evidence in his case?

The Associated Press released a statement that even though the waters are murky LE have found some items.

The grandma interviewed for news4jax was Misty and Joe's grandmother.

I dunno KG. I don't know what to think. At this point in time anything is possible I suppose. KWIM?

I don't believe that RC knew because Misty would never have admitted to him that she was consorting with the enemy. She knew RC did not like JO. If he had discovered that she was doing drugs (and more?) with him that night in the MH, he would have thrown her out.

He might have suspected, but was never able to get any info that JO was there in the MH. I think this is why he married her. Strange as it seems, I think he thought that if he gave her what she most wanted, she would crack and tell him the truth. But she never did because she knew that would be the end of their relationship.

I completely agree with you, and I'll probably have to duck after typing this, but I never felt RC was involved, and could not understand WHY he would be selling drugs with her when his daughter was missing...so I started to wonder with all of his talk with TN and all from jail, that maybe LE was using him to catch Misty and co, in selling the drugs, by pretending to go along, and that is why he has been quiet...he's keeping his ears open in prison, and letting things unfold. He may have had a smirk on his face after the meeting the other day because he feels they "have them now". Just a thought...dont hate me.

If Haleigh was put into the water to be disposed of, maybe the perp(s) originally tried placing her in the water close to home?

That could explain the mystery of the dogs following her scent out the back of the trailer and toward the water?

Realizing the implications, "they" rethought their plan and decided to put her further away (still going with water) just moving to another location that "they" still felt comfortable with... I dunno, just a thought...

I'm hoping we can start wittling away the little mysteries in this case that have led to 14 months of freedom for a bunch of half-wits.

Bold by me.....or put in the dumpster that the dogs hit on early in the investigation....until her "clan" could come and help her figure out what to do.

Why would you have to duck for sharing your opinion? If someone here knows exactly what happened to Haleigh and who exactly is responsible they need to take their hiney's down to tell the PC Sheriff..is all I gotta say.

You are just as entitled to your opinion as anyone else is here The Seeker.

Trust me I got my arse lit up like a freakin x-mas tree by that 🤬🤬🤬 lawyer that created an account here to snuff any and all talk about Haleighs Mother when this case had just broken more than a year ago. (That bleach blonde who never made it big on TV like she thought she would LOL).

Anywho, you go ahead and post your opinion. You are entitled to express it and you don't have to apologize to anyone for doing so...:)

yes thank you. Sorry for the O/T and no link. I know this is Haleigh's thread but emotions are running high.

NP by me - It would be something quite dramatic if these two major cases came to a head today.

But, with either case, if LE is recovering the remains of children, it's just as sad no matter if they are Haleigh and Gabriel or not, IMO.

(BTW, early reports are indicating that the child in Texas is a boy about 2 or 3 years of age - R.I.P. Little Boy Doe.)

I don't hate you....only love for the folks here at WS. I pray RC had nothing to do with Haleigh's death.

I can't believe I just typed that.

I wish one of the reporters would have mentioned RC to Hardy, just to get a body language feel.

If we go back to the beginning RC should have been thrown in jail for sex with a minor. He brought MC into the lives of his children, so he bears some responsibility for what has happened to Haleigh. JMO

honey, the seeker, you are not hated for giving your take on RC. I tend to see RC as being ultimately responsible for his daughter's care. I believe he wanted to cover up this crime along with others, for some reason, but maybe not. I just have a hard time understanding everyone's actions and stories. Haleigh deserves Justice and loving her we deserve answers.
