NG has a LEO from California on the show regarding the "planning a funeral" comment. Dr. Perper has never heard of such a statement ever being said either since a body, or parts thereof, is needed for a funeral.

Do we even know if the word "funeral" was used by LE at all? I'm just not sure LE used the word "funeral". "Funeral" could have derived from someone else misquoting what LE actually said. LE could have just said that they believe that Haleigh is deceased and someone put their own spin on it.

How smart of Tommy to keep a piece of that yellow rope in his home all this time.

I would just like to point out that upon their drug sting arrest, Misty gave LE all sorts of reasons to search Tommy's house. Which she was also living in. Ahem. :snooty:

What's that expression about pissin' up a rope? :waitasec: Oh! Maybe that's why it's yellow.

So now we're back to Granny being told stuff.......

So why wouldn't we think whoever lied to Granny just as quick as they've been lying all the rest of this time?
& it makes me think that if Granny's been hearing all of this, so have a lot of other people. It makes me furious that noone has 'spoke up'.

It was reported both. A murder weapon which went from a knife to a rope and remains soooooooo who knows????

Oh and Papa I agree with you about disbarrment before sundown on sealed juvie records.

p.s. I went to scratch my butt today and did more of a point than Misty did at the docks

Omg 2 funny your p.s.

I liked it how NG said nobody could get a hold of Misty that night. Seems like there are a lot of people that say they got a hold of her at the trailer. It was full of people at one time.

Wasn't it also reported that Ron and Misty were arguing at around 8:30 pm and then Misty supposedly turned the phone off?

That is what I believe as well and that the drug was from Ron's drug selling stash. That would loop Ron in with the criminal portion of the crime, and it would explain this relationship between Misty and Ron. He can't blame Misty if she can turn around and say "you left them there, they were your drugs...."

They have both been proactive in telling different versions of that night. Ron from the 911 call to very shortly after that were two different versions of himself.

moo
That sounds like a real possibility. Maybe if they can ever get Misty mad at Ron, she will talk.

I think the newer versions of the story are total BS.

And I thought they were looking for her remains and the weights that held her body down?

Clearly, they were looking for any forensic evidence they could find. The sheriff did mention a murder weapon. I will look for the link and stick it in here. There was also mention, somewhere, of the missing blanket.

Oh, and regarding the endless repetition, my husband said he couldn't hear one more word about cinder blocks last week.

ETA: This was from NG wrap up last week.
Tommy Croslin’s attorney says he was the one who brought investigators to the St. Johns River in the first place, the same spot where unnamed sources say dive teams have been searching for a murder weapon.

"Unnamed sources"--<sigh>.

REMINDER: This is for discussion regarding the NG show. Take extended theory ideas to the theories thread.

I have yet to see any video of Misty pointing at the river, I have only seen her getting grilled........
& to me, LE's animated gesturing look a little too animated-

Kimster she doesn't live there anymore. She is in Palm Coast in a Condo. She moved.

Grandmaj: do we remember the search @ 116 Tyler that happened upon Tommy's arrest? (the collective scantastic we, that is...)

Nancy asking AH about Tommy's van. Tommy says he had two kinds of rope in the van. When it came back from being borrowed by Timmy & Chelsea, the rope was gone.

I think the missing yellow rope is important and will continue to gain in importance. Tommy admits he had yellow rope in the van. Vanished. Where'd it go?

Wasn't it also reported that Ron and Misty were arguing at around 8:30 pm and then Misty supposedly turned the phone off?

Who are the only two people that could report that?

It is Ron and Misty's story NG is referencing.

Good point. Maybe LE said, "cooperate or it's your funeral".

who knows with this clan.

NG really getting on Shooey about funeral vs memorial.
LOL Of all the things she should have gotten onto him about all these months, that's what finally cooks her bacon?

It is an interesting and possibly relevant difference, though...

Well the lawyer telling the story never backed down from it.

So who would have put their own spin on it? It would have had to been Ron. Why would he say that?

I find it kidna weird that RC's atty is making the media rounds. We have seen both RC's and JO's atty all over the circuit but nothing from MC's or ToC's.

If we are to believe that RC is just the "grieving father" like they want us to - then why is his atty all over the news? Make a statement and move on - kinda like Crystal has done. I can understand JO's atty - he's under that bus right about now and needs defending. But what does RC need defending about?

Why tonight when AH talked about the 90 calls RC made that night didn't Shooey speak up - offer up that RC was very concerned and couldn't get a hold of anyone because he was at "werk"?

She is going to need a financial help to have this happen. Hopefully, people will anonymously help her.

OT, years ago I worked for a funeral home and infants were frequently interred for free and I think a funeral home would donate given the circumstances. JMO
