As far as juvenile records, I bet almost everyone of the players has a record. NG knew better than to push that but she got what she wanted to get in and very subtledly suggested he is a child molester. I do not like this kind of play....not one single bit. Can't unring the bell. This started in the beginning when misty said it, then TN also suggested it in a round about way. Hardy gave a pressor and said he had no proof that it was the case that he is an SO.

If this guy is not and we have no reason to think he is, then the people that are suggesting this in the media should be held accountable. Regarding some criminals and child accusations, there is a very fine line to be drawn. There are mistakes made sometimes. The media should be more responsible with throwing that out there about anyone w/o proof, imo.

OTOH. If we learn that he did this to Haliegh...Hang Him High!

Yes I remember. The reason I brought the rope up though is because Art is reporting it was last Thursday that she gave permission to go for the rope. And my immediate Oh NO was because Christee found that Quit Claim Deed and I knew she wasn't living there. Was there something else you were inquiring about,,,,, or the rope?

Thanks grandmaj

I was wondering if they perhaps didn't get that rope on an earlier search, as they were directed in that search by Misty. IIRC Tommy very angrily saying "he didn't know why Misty was talkin' all that sh*t about him" (approximate quote) on an early jailhouse tape. I thought he was upset Misty told LE about Tommy's the little household product theft spree, and supposedly a gun theft, and at the same time, she could have mentioned rope?

Tommy was awfully mad at her...

Deer hunting is illegal in Florida in Feb (not that it matters to them)
http://forums.tallahasseeoutdoors.com/Topic80-30-1.aspx
Alligators don't feed in water temps under 68 degress I think- so they were not "feeding the alligators" (at least not in Feb)
http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/cnhc/csp_amis.htm

Thought my imagination was running wild last night...seems Levi Page's was also! Below transcript snipped from JVM show:

VELEZ-MITCHELL: ...What about deer blood found in the mystery van? The private detective who gave Misty a lie detector and voice analysis test said this on ISSUES just last week.

Quote, "She -- Misty -- talked about a van. And she said there was blood in the van. But she went to tell me that it was deer blood."

Now, Levi Page, you`re a blogger, way on top of this case. Cops said they found alligator toenails in the St. Johns River. So if they found alligator toenails that means alligators are in that river.

T.J. refused to speculate as to whether Haleigh`s killer they put deer blood on the child so that alligators would eat her but you`ve got to look at that possibility. And if it turns out there`s no body and no confession, despite everything that happened last week, is there still no case, Levi?

LEVI PAGE, INTERNET RADIO HOST AND BLOGGER (via telephone): You know what, I think that that`s a possibility. It`s horrific to think that anybody would put deer blood on a child to attract alligators to eat them.

Well, I can understand why. It gave him a no bond charge.

OTOH...why didn't TC get real mad when she told the media, he messed with her before?

I can't stomach this much more..why are both shows going to the dark side?

..........oooh, this is not good, not good at all.

ART HARRIS, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST, WWW.ARTHARRIS.COM: Nancy, I can tell you my sources say Ronald tried to call Misty nine times that night, she did not pick up the phone.

I can also tell you that at 6:00 p.m. Tommy has said he stopped by the trailer to smoke a joint with Misty. She prepared the kids dinner, then the grandmother dropped some clothes by, that`s their story, and that was it. We don`t know anything after that.

What happened to 90 calls? Tommy being there at 5?

And what happened to Shoemaker:

"There's not anger. There's disappointment that she didn't feel she could come forward and tell him what may have happened that night -- if she in fact knew," Shoemaker said.
http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/topstories/news-article.aspx?storyid=154929&catid=3

In one night he's gone from "If she in fact knew" to "you know that Misty hasn't been forthright right from the beginning".

TERRY SHOEMAKER, ATTORNEY FOR RONALD CUMMINGS, HALEIGH`S FATHER, JUST MET WITH RON IN JAIL: Well, absolutely. I mean, you know that Misty hasn`t been forthright right from the beginning of this whole case and as soon as she gets in trouble and as soon as she`s looking at -- you know a lengthy period of prison she starts pointing the finger at everybody she can. Except for herself.

Here's a nice non-answer:

SHOEMAKER: I wish I could answer that, Nancy. I obviously haven`t had any conversations with Misty or Mr. Fields regarding anything that she`s done. So, you know, I can only think that maybe she -- it`s time to come clean or she`s thinking of some other things.

Maybe she's thinking of coming clean or some other things. Well, clearly, Terry... it must be one or the other if she's thinking of anything at all.

That's an understandable assumption, but then again, this lawyer also has to consider that his job has and will extend beyond this client, and for him to set a precedent that "I'll let people know if my client has no record" would be very unwise, KWIM?

Good point. Afterwards, "no comment" would be as good as "yes".

ITA, Whisperer!! The media does play fast and loose with details. Tabloid journalism at its finest!
Has it ever been confirmed by LE that Ron in fact did make 90 calls that night? Because AH is the only one I've ever seen reporting it... and it started out that it was 20 calls, not 90. If he did make that many, then he obviously couldn't have been getting much work done on his job. And were all those calls made AFTER Misty turned her phone off at 8:30? Why doesn't Nancy address that? Seems to me that would be a bigger issue than LE using the term "funeral" rather than "memorial."

And just wanted to add that we all have different interpretations of what we are hearing. For example, last evening on NG, I understood that Art Harris (at least last night) stressed that Misty did not answer her cell 90 or 9 (perhaps typo on CNN transcript) times. The emphasis appeared to be on, "Look at how many times Ron called, and Misty never once answered his calls."
