Am I reading it correctly, it seems to state no hairs found in the vaccums. Whose vaccums would not have hair in them, I know mine does. If there were not hairs found then it sounds like someone cleaned the vaccums prior to LE getting them. It was like six months after Caylee disappeared before they got the vaccums so plenty of time to make sure they were nice and clean.

I collect so much hair in my vaccums (regular and a spot bot) that I sometimes have to take them apart and get the hair out of them. You are right it doesn't make sense that there would be so little hair in these vaccums.

People shed hair constantly so there should have been at least one hair even if the vacuums had been cleaned. They also have dogs. Very strange.

wasn't it the McGuire case they didn't find ANY Fingerprints in the Whole place...? total clean up..what's that tell you.:banghead:

It figures there would be absolutely no hairs in the Anthony's vac cleaners. Only in this case could someone have a vacuum cleaner, several of them...and not one hair is found.

YET! Just from processing the evidence, it seems we have several FBI hairs...sigh. Like other things in this case, it is what they are NOT saying and doing that makes me suspicious.

Maybe they used a different vacuum? That's a wild guess and a stretch, it is just strange that the vacuums should be so clean. :waitasec:

So, what finally made George and Cindy clam up? Hummmm? Had we seen this interview with Cruz/Hollaway? TIA.

The way I read it was no hairs showing decomp...I will go back though. They had hairs to test so they found some..

If you read page 39-42 it states there were no apparent hairs in the hose and on the brush of the steam cleaner and shop vac. If you looked at my vaccums the haris are very apparent. IMHO I believe these had been throughly cleaned.

It's always difficult for me to keep in mind, that from June 16 to Dec 11th ( 6 months) of '08 is a very long time. Surprising ANY EVIDENCE could be found, even if one is not an obsessive cleaner like Cindy!

That is the key, imo. I could understand if no hairs containing decomp were found in the vacuum bags because, in all likelihood, they would have been changed in several months. However, the brushes of the steam cleaner were likely replaced, imo. It would be virtually impossible to remove all trace evidence from those tight brushes. :innocent:

I dunno if cleaning would have removed all hair. They may not have used the machines at all, not sure if they would have had time to purchase replacement parts but that is possible as well.

ETA-Remember that GA was a detective....he would know what kinds of things to really look out for as far as covering up/removing evidence. I myself, w/o LE knowledge, would think to replace the machine or parts on it if I had time...And it would not necessarily have been GA doing the clean-up, I am sure he shared some things with CA over the years about how people get away with things. I have a friend whose dad is in the local PD, and he has brought up things that dad would tell him about how people cover up, so it's not unheard of that CA would have a little knowledge about this as well.

But I think I am leaning on them not having used that machine at all.

ETAA: Or they did find hairs but none with decomp-I'm a little unsure how to read this...

This family has relatives in the area and could have borrowed a vacuum cleaner or steam cleaner. I wonder if any relatives were asked about this. I mean, my mom wouldn't think anything of it if I'd borrowed her vacuum or steam cleaner.
Still...there should be some hair in the ones taken as evidence.

It's just weird. Reading about all these vacuum cleaners and to keep on reading "no apparent hairs found." But, right after that it says, "no hairs with the characteristics of apparent decomposition located."

So, they are finding hairs but they do not have "characteristics of apparent decomposition?"

If you had to vacuum up decomposition from the trunk I don't think you would want to keep the vacuum. You'd never get rid of the smell.
