Something tells me CA and GA wouldn't keep the vaccuums or whatever was used to clean up that car, those were probably long disposed of before FBI came about.

But I'm just getting caught up. I was in the middle of like page 10 of the document dump when Century Link had an outage and I was out of internet for 4 hours. After waiting all week for this doc dump!! Oh, the irony is rich. ;)

There was a new vacuum cleaner box on top of the freezer in the Anthony's garage ... this was after the garage was cleaned and organized sometime after OSCO was at the Anthonys' the first time and after KC's car was taken ... I'm just not sure how long after ...

I think this may have been when OSCO collected evidence at the home after Caylee's remains were found

Maybe it's just me but who keeps boxes of vacuum cleaners - unless they're like brand spanking new? I think the vacuum my family has we've had for eons..I can't imagine keeping the boxes they came in unless they were just recently purchased, even then most people would probably set the boxes on the curb with the trash..(unless they knew their house was being watched and didn't want anyone to know they recently made such a purchase!) JMO.

Well, there was that woman that made a trip to their house and went through the garbage. Remember she found that baseball hat that we had seen Casey wearing; the one with the shamrock on it, and it was tore up, etc.

But, they could have broken the boxes down for recycling, but, they sat on the shelves non-the-less.

This is in reference to the vacuums and wet vacs. There was a bench note whereby it was stated that Jeff Ashton did not need the vacuums examined. It appears by the statement above that "additional leads developed" caused them to resubmit the items.

After going to all the trouble of picking up the vacuums and cleaners in the search warrant after Caylee was found, it never made sense that LE decided not to examine them. Makes perfect sense now if we assume LE learned that they were new, bought sometime after the car was found and impounded. And why would the A's suddenly replace them and the washer and dryer -- AFTER evidence was washed and the car was potentially cleaned but BEFORE the body was found. These people need to be charged!

The thing is, I don't understand how the A's could have replaced the washer and dryer at that time. As I recall, the house was being continually watched by the media and on webcams. Unless, of course, they were purchased immediately, before webcams and media and protesters.

No hairs collected showed evidence of decomp. (pg. 42)

Questions:

1) Is 'pbx' forensic speak? I ask because the shop vac and steam cleaners specifically stated 'hairs'. The collections from the vacuum were referred to as pbxs.

2) Someone please remind me when LE finally took possession of the Pontiac, please. :)

I was wondering if it was short and nicer term for pubic hair(s)??

Sorry to post this information again but I have some information to add:

On June 23, 2009 the bench note is written

On November 24, 2009 the vacuum and cleaners are resubmitted along with the statement:

page 64

As a result of the discovery of the remains evidence was submitted to the FBI laboratory for analysis. The items referenced in this EC are being resubmitted to the FBI Laboratory for further processing because of additional leads developed in this ongoing investigation.

I am wondering what additional leads were developed.

I just thought of something about those boxes -
I have wondered if they did the majority of cleaning before all of this "broke", and not when they got the car home as we have thought.
If that had been the case, those boxes could have been safely set out to the curb to be taken away without anyone knowing, or, even questioning it for that matter.

But, all that aside, I do believe that the car was cleaned to the best of their ability when it was brought home, without a doubt.
And, those items used to do the cleaning, were also cleaned.
As you people have said, there is no way that there would be NO HAIR what-so-ever to be found in them.
No animal hair, when you live in a home with 2 dogs and a cat.

They had how many people in and out of that place during those days?
During the time that Casey was out on bond, there was Padilla and company, their cop friend from Ohio, Tim Miller, Lee and Mallory, possibly a neighbor or 2. Baez and other attorneys. Someone from the department of Social Services to interview Casey.

Casey's friends that showed up for that meeting that Cindy had requested when Casey was in jail.

There were cops there from time to time also during the protest days.

Then, when Caylee was found, Dominic Casey and Jim Hoover were in the house getting additional items for the Anthony's while they were out of the house.

There SHOULD have been hairs in those machines.

Then, at the time of Caylee being found

RR, do you have any idea when LE first confiscated the vacuums/cleaners?

I dug around in these docs, but only see reference to when they were sent for analysis. I was trying to find when OSCO took possession.

I've got a few things to do and don't have time to thread dive right now. If anybody can find it, I will be grateful. Otherwise, I will dig around later tonight.

During the processing of the Anthonys' home on Dec 11th and 12th of '09

I agree with you stephanie...I believe they did get rid of their vacumns..I want to see the receipt for the ones they turned over to the FBI...

Given what we know now, I totally agree with you! There is NO way that they would keep the old vaccums imo. The smell would be there for sure EVEN if KC didn't use them for clean-up, (she is much too lazy) SOMEONE cleaned that car though! 6 mths. before they were asked to turn them over?..You know, that played right into their hands. How would LE ever prove that though? Would they even know what the brand of the original vacuums were, if this is the case? Many people don't keep receipts, even for items like this. Although IMO Cindy normally WOULD keep them, under the circumstances I don't think the receipts or boxes, etc. would have ever made it back to Hopespring..MHOO..

Did they replace the freezer too? Sounds like they began a purge as soon as KC got arrested....

To my knowledge, that has never been brought up or questioned.

My guess would be no.

But, if LE could get their hands on Cindy's credit card statements for her Sears or JC Penney's account, I bet there would be purchases for the vacume cleaners and washing and dryer.
They didn't have money to replace those items.

Maybe this is why Cindy didn't want LE to see those statements, and said that she had already looked them over, and there was nothing relevant on them.

I guess this is why Cindy goes crazy whenever anyone mentions credit card receipts. She doesn't want LE discovering evidence on her credit cards that she replaced all these things.

Have we still not seen the credit card statements/receipts? My first thought was that whatever they used to clean the car was replaced- or they took the car to a "do it yourself" car clean place. Where you can vacuum, etc. No way there was no hair in the vacuums. If there was hair and it was just no decomposed hair that doesn't prove anything to me. Too many "what ifs".

If I was on the jury I would definitely not be impressed with this "lack of evidence". :waitasec:

Also, JC Penney's DOES still sell vacuum cleaners and steam cleaners. Not going to chase a rabbit down a hole but I would still love to see those receipts....

Maybe KFN bought them for the Anthony's, so there wouldn't be a paper trail.

Or like someone said in the other thread, the car could have been taken to a car wash/vacuum spot and cleaned there. We already know CA is not willing to hand over evidence, what with trying to give the wrong hairbrush, washing KC's pants and the knife, et cetera. They're stupid, heartless, and in my opinion - MEAN with regards to their granddaughter, but they aren't ignorant - after smelling that car and figuring out what happened (and for all we know KC could have SOMEWHAT confessed to them, or at least CA..you know, as much as a pathological liar can confess) I'm sure they realized that they needed to clean the car thoroughly..but not with any cleaning supplies or tools that could be traced back to their house. I'm surprised they didn't break into Zenaida Gonzalez's house and use one of her vacuums! I just dont think the lack of decomposing hairs in their household vacuums is enough to say KC didn't do this, and is just a tiny straw for the defense to grasp. MOO.
That's what I thought when I went thru those documents.... GA KNEW (and still knows) that there was human decomposition in that car. When he started to clean the car, I bet he took it to a car wash facility and vacuumed it out and tried to wash it there. Think about it...the car smelled atrocious....who would want decomposition elements (of any kind) in your personal vacuum cleaner? You'd never get that smell out of your vacuum cleaner. It doesn't surprise me that there wasn't anything in the vacuum cleaners....not with that smell in the car. And in the process of trying to clean the car... you're right.. they certainly were not thinking of Caylee. :furious:

Yup...right after Caylee's remains were found in '08. I actually remember watching it live.

One of the vacuums, I think it was the wet vac but not sure really which, was described as 'worn' in the doc. Also, what does "pbcx" or "pcbx" (I forget which way it was) stand for? As I was reading, I thought that meant something like 'piece'. Was there actually something that said that NO hairs were found in the vacs? If so, I must have missed it. Strange that there would not be at least dog or cat hair.
