Just wanted to say that Hornsby really caught my attention with this theory of why the SA may have put the DP back on the table. I had never thought about that before, however the timing could not be more telling. Looks like it gives us a sneek-peek into what might have gone on in that in-camera meeting w/JS regarding how the defense has been funded and, possibly, why it has been sealed. :innocent: Also, sheds some light on why the SA has not totally ruled out adding pecuniary gain as an aggravating factor.

I certainly don't know that he is correct, but so far he has been spot-on.

It was a really good show for those who haven't had a chance to listen.

I'm not convinced (yet) that the timing of the state seeking the DP was because of finding out about defense funding ... I could change my opinion and that maybe that combined with finding out the amount Jose got paid and the source was the final straw ....:waitasec:

OT Roz used to give her opinion on a local radio show often and I remember screaming at the radio at all her erroneous info. lol. She doesn't do that anymore and the folks on the radio only make fun of her. Guess they got a lot of emails!

I'm right there with ya, denjet. I'm not totally convinced either - mostly for the reasons you stated. However, I had never thought of Hornsby's theory before I heard him talk about it last night. I found the timing extremely ironic. It may be a combination of all of the above. I could see why.

I asked R. Hornsby a long time ago - after the hearing where JS stated that the public had a right to know and JB had 'forgotten' all the accounting docs but was supposed to supply JS with them in very short order - when the public WOULD see the final accounting. He basically told me that we wouldn't since they had never been filed with the court. I don't know what happened in re. why he changed his mind and decided to keep those sealed. :waitasec: The whole thing was strange. I asked another attorney who opined that they didn't understand either, unless maybe the SA stipulated to do it in camera. I have always found the fact that those records never have been made public very, very puzzling, to say the least.

And in light of the list of depositions the defense put up this afternoon with the proposed schedule, I suggest is imperative "where the money went" be raised and answered public.

The depositions are of people - 40 - of them that should have been done well over a year ago.

* No chance for a deal. Too late.
* Dumb motion to ask the state to list reasons for d.p. Should have been very clear.
* Lyon did a poor job with her 'it's sexist!' motion. Lyon's witness did a poor job.
* DP could have been placed back on the table because of how offensive it was to sell Caylee's pictures to fund her mother's defense. Could have put the state over the edge -- made the state realize how cold and calculating the mother really is.

Gag, RH & Rossie... If KC is what is considered "cute" in Florida, things must have changed a lot since I was last there....South Beach chicks are cute (caliente!), KC is...eh, okay.
Her "looks" are not going to influence a thing, not even with guys her age. Any attractiveness she ever had no longer translates.
Disagree with them that there is any "hot" factor there. Guys are only superficial on a superficial level-Alas, baby killers even turn off 20-something single guys.
