2010.05.31 ~ Tommy phone calls during the latter part of April

Is it just me or does it sound like Tommy's lawyer was going for a plea deal? Of course this was a month and a half ago, but it sounded like he was ready to sign it to submit to the DA?

Wait....Lindsy is telling ToC that Austin lost a front tooth....he already knows that, doesn't he? He was there and showed it to ToC during the "mad" visit. These calls are before that visit? Head spinning.

I think that maybe he was in an auto accident? I know that HC and TiC were last year, but I think ToC was too. For a time he was wearing a cervical collar around his neck. I remember seeing that around the time of Ratgate, IIRC. Either that or maybe a workman's comp accident? MOO, and all that...

Tommy was wearing that neck brace after the fight with Ronald at GMMS house when Misty put a restraining order on him. Ronald had to spend the night in jail over that one.

ToC and Linds:

Linds says ToC's been doin her dirty for the last 4 months.
ToC says he didn't hide s--- from her.
ToC says it shouldn't matter if she loves him.
Linds says she's doin good - Aus starting counseling, etc. that she's doin it all herself.
ToC says she's a good woman.
Linds says no one's on her side.
Linds says thanks, you'll be out one day.
Linds says until she gets her money from ToC's parents, they shouldn't talk to her.

I'm sick of a little bit of money being everybody's top priority. She shouldn't have loaned it to to them, if she expected it back. & where did she get money? income tax? That would be Tommy's too...just sick of all of the petty greed. She needs to get her kids & move, & stop worrying about what Hank & Lisa owe her. or get a full time job. She's helped make this bed, so now she gets to lie in it. Every time I hear any of these people whine about money, I get the feeling that they're standing there with their hands out-just hoping some bleeding heart will mail them some. especially Linsey. but she lost me when she spent the last 6 dollars on clothes for herself.

I was afraid of that, and I think it is a shame, especially since she went through school and passed her boards, only to not be able to find a job...my home state just started doing the background checks for nursing about 5 years ago, but it is done through the State Board, and if you can pass it and get a license you are usually good to go. I suspect it has more to do with Lindsy's close association with known drug abusers as with HaLeigh's disappearance, at least as far as a nursing job goes. I hope she doesn't just give up and throw in the towel now, because it took a lot of chutzpah on her part to get that nursing license! I have thought all along that this might be part of the reason for the divorce filing~ she is trying to distance herself from the Croslin clan. MOO, and all that...:twocents:

I agree with you but I would like to add it may also have something to do with a credit check as well... I know nothing about their credit but if the #'s are low you are unlikely to get hired...
NOT that it makes any sense IMO how can you pay off your debt with no job? any way that's my :twocents:

but I thought she had already been hired? at a juvenile facility? excuses excuses. but maybe she IS working, but is lieing about it?

& I've never heard of such a thing. & can someone explain to me why she is still hanging around that area? She's divorcing Tommy, has cut ties with his parents...so why doesn't she pack their bags & git. Go where she can find work. Geesh.

LinC may not have gotten the job for reasons other than being associated with the Croslin name. Though she's young and inexperienced, it's obvious that LinC's start in nursing should not be in the juvie nor any prison system. Her unreadiness to practice nursing in such a setting probably came through during the interview. Though she may have been tweaking ToC in previous jailhouse tapes, when she revealed to him that she was flattered by the slightest attention from his inmate buddies, she could have dangled the jealousy bait in some other fashion (she knows she's being taped). Additionally, she displayed poor judgment when she told ToC about her clothing selection of short-shorts worn to a visit at a jailhouse setting. Further, had she been able to secure the job at the juvie setting, it may have been all over once she described to ToC how the young juvies ogled her and verbally flirted with her on her way in or out of her interview. She came across as flattered. The juvies would make mincemeat of her in a nanosecond. No surprise that she did not get the nursing job working with juvies, and IMO the right decision.

These tapes had to have been recorded around April 28. Hope was sentenced on the 27th and it would not have been in the paper until the 28th, and ToC refers to the article about the sentencing in the newspaper. Also, April 28 was the day Lindsy filed for divorce IIRC.

I do not believe she filed because her grandfather forced her to. Nor do I believe she has changed her mind about the divorce as Werter has implied. I think Lindsy has had enough of the lies and betrayal, but Werter may have convinced her to be in court in May because her presence would look better for his client. It's too bad she agreed to it.

This may be OT, if so I am sorry, but wasn't there something at one point about Lyndsy's parents being willing to help her out if she got out of this family? I thought she came from a stable family IIRC and they would help support her if away from Croslins?

Am I totally wrong about that, I swear I read it someplace...if so, there is no excuse for her letting those kids miss even one meal, IMO...

I do think she uses these tapes to gain sympathy from the listening public and it works even here, at times...many posters see her as most sympathetic character of the bunch but maybe she is showing her true colors on this tape...after all, she did marry one of them, willingly I presume...JMO

The job at the juvie facility....she said she was waiting on the background check. She and ToC talked about how there would be no problem....I guess there was a problem. Seems odd, though. The person interviewing her knew who she was I would think. Unless, she used her maiden name for the interview...or flat out lied about the whole thing. How did she afford a $10,000 car? Grandpa?

Sadly it seems to be the new "thing" to do when a child is missing. Make a name for yourself, write a book, grant an interview whatever to gain a few bucks. Not just these people you all know who I'm thinking of.

Hopefully, LinC has finally learned, for her own and her children's sake, to try to stay out of the public's eye. However, I am not convinced that she and ToC, like M and Ron, may not be victims of their own twisted love story. LinC's opening conversation with ToC disturbed me. It may be that she was trying to get across to ToC - don't worry about the divorce papers (It's business. I still love you.). Do what I tell you to do...(Get with the program!).

ToC tells Linds to do what she needs to do, he can handle it, but they gotta be friends.
Linds says yeah, she still loves him.
Linds says yes and no that she wants to talk to him.
Linds says twice, do what I say and ask questions later.
ToC says what's that? Linds says, sign the papers.
ToC tells Linds his lawyer says he's probably got money comin his way.
