Trial on a single drug trafficking charge against Misty Croslin in St. Johns County has been set for August but will likely be reset before then, her attorney said following a hearing this afternoon
The Patatka trial date was set there on June 3, 2010.
During the hearing in St. Augustine, neither defense attorney Robert Fields nor the prosecutor mentioned the apparent scheduling conflict to Circuit Judge Wendy Berger.
ST. JOHNS CO. Fla. -- Misty didn't say anything at all when she appeared in a St. Johns Co. courtroom, where she's facing one of eight drug trafficking charges.
The other 7 charges are in Putnam County.
Misty Croslin - Cummings is to stand trail in Palatka in August, unless she makes a plea deal by the Aug. 16 deadline.
"I think the drug charges pretty much was a set up, Hank Croslin Sr., told Channel 4. "Misty or (Hank Croslin Jr.) wasn't drug traffickers. They just was middlemen runners. (Police) have not got none of the drug dealers out there. They just went after Misty and (Hank Jr.). It was nothing about the drugs. It was about Haleigh Cummings.
Croslin Sr. said his daughter isn't guilty of these charges.
Croslin Sr. said the case boils down to the Haleigh homicide investigation, and that investigators are just trying to get information out of Misty about what could've happened.

Trial on the one drug-trafficking charge against Misty in St. Johns Co. has been set for August but will likely be reset before then, her attorney said.
Misty Croslin, a central figure in the case of missing Haleigh Cummings, faces a minimum 25-year sentence in the single St. Johns case involving at least 28 grams of oxycodone.
Today an Aug. 23 trial date was set in the St. Johns County case. The same date was set last week for her trial on 7 trafficking charges in Putnam Co.
