I wonder ~ and this is pure speculation on my part ~ if Kaine might have taken Kiara out of the house because he suspects Terri is going to be arrested and he doesn't want her to see her mother getting hauled off by the police. Since Tony is in LE, maybe there's a desire to ensure that the children don't have any fear of LE?

Again, just throwing that out there.

I don't want to believe that Terri is involved, but it is really hard to fathom a logical explanation for why her husband would leave & take their daughter with him.

I expect the statement tonight to be spin, though, unless they're finally ready to share what they know (which I don't expect).

BBM. Yes, that makes sense. I had to have someone arrested a few years ago and LE planned for the child to be away from the house and cared for before they went to the home and arrested her mother. I was very glad they had that much consideration.

Friends of the Horman family told FOX 12 that police encouraged Kaine Horman to take the couple's 18-month-old daughter and stay at a different location. Investigators would not confirm that information Monday.

The Multnomah County Sheriff would not confirm or deny these reports but said the family will issue a statement sometime tonight, through the sheriff's office.

If my child were missing (heaven forbid), I would never leave the house empty, just on the slight chance my son/daughter could ever, ever find their way back. Without making judgements on all the other news about this situation, I find it totally reasonable that one person would always remain at the house.

She's Terri's daughter too.

That is really strange, but perhaps the writer awkwardly over-explained - given that there are a lot of step parents/step children in this family? That's the only thing I can think of.

If this report is accurate, I agree - though it is possible KH moved out for reasons that have nothing to do with LE, and that is just embellishment. It could be as simple as some random cop said, on his or her own instinct, "Hey, your wife looks kind of stressed out and depressed/etc - maybe you should take the baby out of here for a day or two."

It's hard to say, since LE will not confirm/deny... which doesn't surprize me, as why would LE comment on something this far removed from "public safety information".

But, yes - if true, I think something big might be coming.

According to the article, it was at the advice of LE.

If that info is accurate, it makes one wonder about what is on LE's mind, after spending up to "six hours several times" interviewing TH.
