The father of missing 7-year-old boy Kyron Horman is staying elsewhere this week after taking the daughter he has raised with Kyron's stepmother out of their home.

Friends of the Horman family told FOX 12 that police encouraged Kaine Horman to take the couple's 18-month-old daughter and stay at a different location. Investigators would not confirm that information Monday.

Kyron Horman's stepmom, Terri Moulton Horman, says rumor that Kaine Horman moved out is false

A report on Fox TV today saying that the stepmom and dad of Kyron Horman had separated is not true, according to the stepmom, Terri Moulton Horman.

Approached at her home in Northwest Portland, Horman said her husband Kaine Horman and 18-month-old daughter Kiara have not moved out as Fox reported.

"Everything's good," she said. "We heard that rumor. It's just a rumor that needs to be squelched. Everything's fine."

Terrie Moulton-Horman, step-mom of Kyron Horman, has denied a claim published by two other Portland TV news websites that Kaine Horman and his young daughter had moved out of their home.

Terrie Moulton-Horman told KGW those reports were untrue, and that she was continuing to cooperate with the investigation and wanted to keep the
focus on finding Kyron.

A statement issued by the family of Kyron Horman Monday evening further isolates his step mother, Terri Horman, and unites the missing child's divorced parents and step father.

The statement was released after media inquires about whether Kaine Horman was still living in the house he owns with Terri Horman.

Friends of Terri Horman told media, including KOIN Local 6 Monday, that Kaine Horman had left the house with the couple's 18-month-old daughter,

Kyron Horman's stepmother served with documents for restraining order, divorce

Kyron Horman's stepmother was served with a restraining order and a petition for dissolution of marriage at 6 p.m. Monday, a law enforcement source confirmed.

The legal papers came as a complete surprise to Terri Moulton Horman, the source said.

Kyron’s father files for divorce, gets restraining order

PORTLAND, Ore. - The father of missing Skyline School second-grader Kyron Horman has filed for divorce from his wife Terri Moulton Horman and was granted a restraining order against her, a source confirmed to KATU News Monday night.

The source also confirmed that Kaine Horman has moved out of the family’s house.

The source said the restraining order is a physical restraining order that is meant to protect the couple’s daughter, (name removed).
