2010.07.31 - Why are they searching DDS' relatives' properties?

In the thread about TH's friends homes being searched, someone commented on a relative owning a cabin on a lake and something about wondering about an elderly person. Going back to see if I can find it.

Since she lives in a condo, I'm doubting there is much to search there.

"Spicher lives in a condo located on SW Sagert Street in Tualatin that has a “for sale” sign posted in the front yard. She apparently used to serve as the president of the condo association."

Wasn't she supposedly moving to a house that she (or a relative) owned? I'm also wondering if she has a elderly aunt, grandma, etc. that doesn't get out "in her yard" much - KWIM? Would have been a spot where Kyron could have been buried and no one would have noticed. KWIM?

If they got these search warrants after her GJ appearance, I'm going to assume she must not have agreed to answer questions.

And to go one further, LE is not searching these properties based on information given them by Dede (re: she's not cooperating fully).

One would assume LE is searching these properties for Kyron, and if Dede's not cooperating fully, I doubt she gave up the whereabouts of his remains (if she knows or is involved in any way).

a comment on KGW suggests that the condo is not the only property owned by Spicher. I hope I can say that, since I suppose it's a matter of public record that can be verified (or not), but dang if I can get to it on the county assessor's web site.:loser:

It isn't easy to find public records online in Oregon. If we can find an allowable site that shows other properties owned by her, you can link it.

I didn't realize today until I was reading an old article that Dede's father is a part-time Marine Officer for Klamath County.

Spicher's father, Don Spicher works for Klamath County - the same county that took the lead on the expanded search for Kyron.

However, the sheriff there assures us Deputy Spicher is part time and only works summers for marine patrol, and had nothing at all to do with the search and rescue operation. Even so, "he has to be very careful that he's not walking the edge, helping his daughter potentially avoid apprehension or in anyway hinder this case," McCain said.

Oh, I can find the site, I just can't find the info...grrr. I'm afraid I'm not searching correctly, and you have to search the info by address or property index number (or some such), and I don't know the address from any acceptable source.

What concerns me is that we don't hear that TH's family's property is being searched. Maybe they are all in Roseburg??? Does DDS have family in Portland??? Or just Klamath Falls?

My head is spinning. These players are all over the state! Oh never mind, we don't have anyone in The Dalles or Bend.....YET!:angel:

This always happens on WS. I have stayed up way too late many nights and if when I don't, I return in the morning to find posts deleted and threads closed FCOL - LOL

Hmmm... I recall reading that Michael Cook is linked to someone who owns a tree and yard service. In fact, they've shared an address, either home or business, hmmmm. Don't have link at hand, but it's called Northwest Tree and Yard.

I suspect they're searching DDS's relatives properties because they're stuck, they're still fixated on TH, and DDS is a link to her. And maybe they're trying to put pressure on by rousting DDS's relatives, so to speak.

But this is confusing. And DDS's place was searched awhile ago, and she went before the grand jury several days ago. So why are they just getting around to her relations now?

This is so darned confusing. It all just looks like flailing about to me.

I can't decide whether or not this is big news. If LE believes she's involved, it makes sense that they'd search any properties associated with her. My big question is why they think she's involved. Is it because she lived with Terri after Kaine left? Is is because she's supported Terri through this ordeal? Is it because she gave Terri advice LE considered suspect? If it's guilt by association, eh.

Also, I'd be much more alarmed about DS "missing" from her job if it wasn't around lunchtime and if Terri wasn't at the gym within 10-20 minutes after DS left her job that morning. With such a short overlap of time, how would DS have had time to really be involved (re: burying Kyron on property owned by her or a family member)? IMHO, anything she knows she learned after the fact, and IMHO, immunity would be granted for something like that. I still doubt whether or not she knows anything of real value, though. This whole "Dede is not cooperating" mantra could be akin to "Terri not cooperating" in that neither are confessing. Maybe they don't have anything to confess, though.

Do they think Terri may have buried Kyron on Dede's relatives' proprerties?

Seems obvious that's one scenario they are investigating. They clearly think DDS is linked to Kyron's disappearance in some way, probably as some kind of accomplice or at least as someone who knows a lot about what happened that day.

I don't think LE believes Kyron is alive at this point. Despite what DY and KH believe, I think LE is looking for burial sites.

wow..it also says TH looked "overweight and slovenly" at the early news conferences. Yikes, is that considered a *fact* now.
