2010.07.31 - Why are they searching DDS' relatives' properties?

I know BeanE. I've never seen a case where the news comes out at night like on this one.

I would love to know what the probable cause was to get a Judge to sign off on a subpoena for an active LE property even though he is not a LE office in there jurisdiction, When you are a LE officer it is a brotherhood and it makes no difference which force you work for.....I would imagine that TY gets the same respect because of his job..

I know nothing about "twittering" so please excuse my opinion if I'm off base, but my thought was that it would be a faster way of communicating with Terri? Are twitter accounts accessible as far as retrieving things like text messages?

Not Kimster, but yeah, tweets are just like texts or FB posts. They can be retrieved on-line or on your cell instantly. BUT, as we know, anyone can read them on-line if you know the person's twitter name. So, if dds had something to hide, she would take down her twitter so that it isn't accessible to the general public or LE, or whomever. Plus, she took down her blog...not sure about other on-line stuff, if there was any. So she's apparently concerned about access.

So why leave her twitter up? Maybe LE asked/insisted in case they think someone may try to contact her via twitter re Kyron? But, boy, how stupid and uninformed would that person have to be? Even if dede couldn't find a way to say *hey, don't tweet me,* you'd think a person with knowledge about Kyron would know the level of scrutiny th and dds are under right now. Especially if they are tech savvy enough to blog and tweet. Makes no sense to me. :waitasec:

I'd be outraged if we found out that they didn't search everyone they know since DD was away and unreachable for the exact same amount of time that Terri was supposedly driving rural roads. Unless those two met at the gym, it's beyond suspicious, but doesn't seem to be a very well executed plan as the family believes. I can't believe that a girlfriend would help Terri hide a little child's body, but might help hide him if she were convinced some sort of abuse was going on and that she's helping to save him. I wonder if any of Terri or DD know a psychologist or former social worker that Kyron might have been taken to. Someone way out there mentally who had questioned him and had been convinced to help. This could be the "doctor" appointment.

Idk if this is what you mean, but at the presser on Friday (and other times to, I think) LE rattled off a big long list of other LE entities that are working in conjunction on the case. I think it was like 18 or 19

Exactly right, gwen. I'll bet he's going to be one surprised cookie if he ever finds out everything she's done. I mean just look at what's come out so far. Poor guy.

That's the only thing I can think of, too. And it would kind of explain her demeanor, as well. If she think she's absolutely got the goods on someone else in the family and is about to throw them under the bus, her attitude might be like, here it comes a**hole.

It could also explain why she would need immunity before she testifies (other than the obvious reason she would have if she actually helped to harm Kyron). If she helped take him, it would still be a crime, but not so serious a crime, maybe, that LE wouldn't consider immunity? Especially if her motives were to protect a child rather than harm him.

idk, seems so far fetched, but who the heck knows in this case. To me, her tweet account seems to support this theory in some ways. But only if you think it's possible that there was a WHOLE lot going on behind the scenes and some people who were willing to involve themselves in such a thing at a very extraordinary level. But, again, who knows. TH and DDS seem to have been quite *extraordinary* imo. jmoo/omoo

Thanks wondering, for the explanation! So can you have more than one account? I was thinking that she left that one up because nothing would be going on with it because she had another one. Also maybe LE told her to leave it open, as you say, because they are monitoring it 24/7 and would know even if she tried to get a crypted message out. Also maybe LE told her to leave it open, as you say, because they are monitoring it 24/7 and would know even if she tried to get a crypted message out. I'm sure you can have more than one -- again, just like fb. But I think if you used your same cell or laptop/home pc, the cell number or the isp would be traceable to both accounts. Of course, if you had another phone or were using another computer, that would work. I guess I'm too lazy to be a criminal, b/c I would definitely not be going to those lengths, especailly if LE was watching me 24/7!

Property could be anything. Computers, cell phones, etc. And that's what I take it to mean. Not "land/home".

Could be, but when the LE/msm is talking about searches of other than real property they usually use the term searched their home, or specifically refer to cells, computers, etc. Any time I've seen LE refer to searching "property" in this case, they've been talking about the land around the home...as in "please search your property." I feel pretty sure they're talking about land and outbuildings, maybe also the other stuff, but definitely the "property." jmoo

Anyone else completely weirded out by the relationship between those two? Don't normal couples who live together (not just spouses) ask about how their day went and at least go into some detail? I mean, don't we generally know what goes on from day to day in the lives of our significant others? I am drawn to a few conclusions pretty quickly:

1) TH could have been extremely secretive about her activities.

2) That secrecy could have been made all the easier by KH's obliviousness, limited capacity for empathy, limited social skills, etc.

Obviously KH is a victim here and he's suffering, but I do wonder why he's having these revelations about her character now (after the fact) and yet he trusted her enough to care for his son.

I can kind of speak to that. When you have a spouse who has dark moods, sometimes it's easier to just do your own thing and get along as best as you can rather than to rock the boat and risk confrontation. I have been there in the past. If you don't think it's bad enough to just pack up and leave, or that reality is complicated by kids, or you don't want to lose half your ****, sometimes you'll just suck up and make the best of it. It's hard to comprehend what people are capable of. Sometimes a crappy marriage is just a crappy marriage, and sometimes people just get stuck in them because it's easier than leaving.

TH and DeDe could have seen each other more often than that, and KH didn't know about it. Don't they go to the same gym? TH could do anything she wanted while Kyron was at school. If KH called her, she could have told him she was where she wasn't anytime, too. This is especially easy to do when one is not taking kids who can talk with them everywhere they go.

Yes, seems I remember reading the 2 of them (TH and DeDe) worked out together "quite often" "everyday" or "frequently". Can't remember exactly which it was, but it certainly was more frequent than every 6 months.
Kaine has no idea what TH did during the day while he was at work and Kyron was at school....I think he realizes that by now...

There is lots of speculation here about searching for a body - but my hunch is that LE probably got warrants to sieze computers. DD, it appears, was very, very chatty.

TH was a tad chatty herself, if not in person then certainly on her FB and through other media (twitter, etc) You'de think between 2 chatty women we would have something of substance to investigate. IMO those two are thick as thieves....

Kaine only thinks he knows how often Terri saw Dee Dee. I've come to the conclusion that he really didn't have much of a clue what was really going on. He only knew what Terri told him, and I've come to see her as not a very open and honest person. MOO

Exactly! He even says, himself, that he had no knowledge of what she might be doing during the day while he was at work.

This is driving me crazy for some reason. What is going on here? I'm so dang clueless and usually I have SOME theory, even if it's out there!!!

I haven't read the whole thread yet to see if someone else addressed this, however, I do recall that in an early link from MSM there was mention of DDS and her relatives owning "rural" property in the general area and perhaps some in the Southern Oregon area. I will try to find the link after the sun comes up -- and I hope to at least get a little shut-eye before that happens.:crosseyed:
