2010.07.31 - Why are they searching DDS' relatives' properties?

  • #121
Kaine and Desiree each made statements in the last presser which, taken together, bothered me. Kaine said, with notable anger and frustration, "I've heard people say that they're afraid to get involved and to come into this, and you know, it makes me really emotional." O.K. If I were in Kaine's shoes and thought there were people who knew something about my child's abduction, and were refusing to come forward, I'd be angry – very, very angry.

But then Desiree said that ANYONE who knew TH or DD "or talked to them ever" should contact LE. My sympathy stops here. If I were a casual acquaintance of TH or DD and LE showed up at my door I'd invite the officer in, and explain that I'd love to help but had no information of any value. However, if I were an acquaintance of either woman and knew nothing about Kyron's disappearance, I would not voluntarily contact LE.

KATU reported that two friends of TH had submitted to polygraphs and allowed their homes to be searched, and showed a video clip of one of the friend's home. An armchair detective noticed a For Sale sign next to house, found the listing online, and gleefully posted the owner’s name on a form. An army of “concerned citizens” whose only goal “is to find Kyron” than started sleuthing said friend and posting information about her on line. I’ve never followed a criminal investigation before and it has been a revelation to learn how easily the details of a person’s life can become the fodder for investigation by a mob of strangers. TH’s posted hundreds of photos on her Facebook account. Many of the photos were of friends and their children, most of which she identified by first and last name. Without doubt, some of those people, and others who know Terri, don’t want to get involved. While that may anger Kaine, I can't say that I blame them.

bbm

Absolutely.

There's a 4 year old boy playing in the next room here who trumps everyone and everything as far as I'm concerned.

Trust..............complete trust, as it should be, and in 99 cases out of 100, that trust in valid. But some woman may take advantage of that trust and engage in activities they keep secret from their husband.

...and the only thing I hide from him is how much time I spend online! I hear his office door open, I jump up from my laptop, run to the kitchen and pretend to start the dishwasher or something... Not that he cares, he is a tolerant and angelic man, but I get kinda embarrassed by my own laziness!

My hubby would not have a clue what I do all day, except what I tell him.

Why would any hubby have a clue if they are working all day and the wife is at home?

Strangely enough there are those couples who keep in contact with each other 5 or 6 times during the workday----every day! I was never one of those and glad of it! But I did have one husband who was------it drove me nuts and added to the list of reasons to divorce! LOL

This needed its own thread.

I can't imagine why DDS' relatives would be searched? I mean, they didn't even search TH's relatives, right? What's the deal?

Bumping up - stay on topic, folks!

That's interesting - if that turns out to be true then the question becomes whether TH's cell phone pings possibly turned up near one the properties belonging to DeDe's family??? Did one of them live on those back roads where TH said she was driving around?

That's a great question and thought, TF. It will be interesting to find out the answer to that one.

BTW, I love your selection of pictures that change next to your nic. Great choices.

Wait. DS supposedly left the gardening job at 11:15. Terri checked into the gym at 11:39. So if DS went to the gym, they probably got there about the same time. That isn't a very long window of opportunity. How far away is the farm from the gym?

A commenter on a news article claims that DS's car was at the farm the whole time. If Terri picked her up at 11:15, they drove to the gym and checked in at 11:39, and then left at 12:40 and drove DS back to the farm, dropping her around 1, then drove home to be on fb by 1:21. That would explain why it took her awhile to get home, why DS's car was there but she wasn't, etc.

I wonder if DS checked into the gym around that same time and left at the same time.

The gym I used to go to was one of those 24 hour places, and they had several security cameras. I wonder if they had cameras and could check to see if both women were there or if it was definitely Terri who scanned in her card. I wonder if Baby K was checked into the nursery at that same time (surely this is easy to check and would have come out if not, right?). I wonder if Baby K is familiar enough with DS that she'd go happily with her to the gym while Terri drove away in the truck.

I wonder if they had cameras outside, in the parking area that would show more than one adult in the truck and how many adults get out of the truck to enter the fitness center.

I can see your point as I was surprised about the woman with the "for sale" sign, but they were moving.

I,too, saw the FB pics with the names, and except for Terri's FB pics with the people's names, not one has been mentioned by MSM.

I think that the lady who moved should be upset with the media, but the pics weren't posted until almost a week later and the movers were there, so they had clearly moved.

In this day and age, people can go on google and find your house, go on zillow and find out about your house, go on people search engines, and whatever.

However, I am glad to say that my info is wrong, so maybe a lot of it is wrong out there.

My opinion?

Asking someone to help harm a little boy isn't like asking someone to go out for ice cream.
I highly doubt that TH called DS and asked "hey wanna help me do this...this...or this...to Kyron" and DS was like "heck yeah, I am all over that! come pick me up." It just doesn't make sense to me.

I think if DS is involved and TH is guilty that it HAD to be premeditated and more of a partnership than a 'help me out'. And that they should both fry.

OR DS did something that any other day was quite innocuous but that day helped TH do something terrible-baby sit baby k, loan her a shovel, ect. Or say, "yeah my cousin/aunt/dad owns that property out there on XYZ road, naw you can go out there they dont get that way much".

[I had a huge post typed and lost it. If this doesn't explain my point please let me know!)

And I am wondering if they are searching only the property that TH knows about and had access to in the amount of time she had...and not just random family members properties.

Moo, Moo, Moo...I might moo but don't call me a cow.

People have made the comment that they would not cooperate.

Are we to assume then that TH has no other friend's that have not been interviewed, etc? We know three properties were searched-Dede, the woman who took a 6 hour polygraph ordeal and ?

Can we assume that there are no other friends? Why haven't we heard about LE hassling them?

To me, it shows there is nothing to be afraid of and that Dede has something that doesn't add up.

There was an article shortly after it was reported that LE had searched the homes of three of Terri's friends. In that article it stated that two of the friends were fully cooperating.

LE didn't identify these two friends, and I think that because the two are cooperating fully, LE is purposely keeping their identities secret.

Maybe the search of DD's relative's properties is a result of something LE learned from the two people?

I think the fact that we're not hearing about anyone else, is that LE is concentrating on DD because of something they've learned, and perhaps other friends have been ruled out.

OT

Brings me to a little story about a friend of mine who ended up on my doorstep one day. His wife of 18 months got her name on the title of his house and a condo they bought. He trusted her to pay the bills and manage the money. He lost 250,000 from his savings, 8 credit cards to the max.

During the aftermath it was learned it was her 18th marriage. She changed last names at each marriage and resumed new lives after each one. One marriage was found to not be dissolved legally and she was charged with bigamy but left the state. Much more to the story but this man had to leave for days at a time, not home frequently. Actually, he should write a book about it. It took two attorney's to get things straight somewhat in his life.

Which just reminded me that last names can be different than the names reported in MSM.

<back on topic> An interesting read here, thanks everyone. Back to reading more, I hope it leads to Kyron.

What a nightmare Peliman!!! If you friend ever decides to "tie the knot" again, tell him to come here....you know these sleuthers can scope out any info for him, lol.

I hear you! My husband is retired so he's here all the time. There's no keeping secrets. :)

Hiya's Em, yes it's quite a story and that's only a tiny bit of it. Actually I don't know what the record is but she was a pro. It was all I could do to keep him away from her, he wasn't a happy camper.

But it doesn't surprise me that Kaine finds stuff out afterwards. I'm sure he's going through the shock, anger, denial thing.

I hope this case breaks soon and breaks with the truth of what happened.

Ugh. I'm just peeking in a the end of a busy weekend. Missed this news last night.

Last week I posted in two threads that Dede's father owned an auto shop and Dede's brother owned a tree service/landscaping company.

Ever since I found that Dede's that Dede's brother owned a tree service company, I've been thinking that they need to search that property. Although...it's been a long time since Kyron disappearred...

I think it was Erma Bombeck who said to put vanilla behind your ears and everyone will assume that you have been baking.

My favorite is Phyliss Diller, I think, who said if you are having unexpected company, throw sheets over everything and tell them you are painting.

You are absolutely correct!!! Does LE know about this tree service? A closer look is definitely needed, Emma Peel!

Peliman.............wow, that's an interesting story! I can't imagine 18 marriages!

Back to the topic...........

I would think that if LE is searching the properties of DD's relatives, that they've got information resulting from the computer forensics of DD's computer, or information as a result of interviewing other friends of TH. They've got some information and I hope that information leads to Kyron.
