2010.08.16 Brad Conway Resigns

He said he had no choice since he is now a witness to these pleadings. Seems Baez put him in a rough position and due to Baez outing him for seeing the documents, as BC put it, he told the A's to sign the waiver and for them signing this waiver, he will be able to search those documents. He said he looked through them, tagged them and did not ALTER them in any way....interesting, indeed... I wonder why he felt the need to say, he did not alter them? Is there a motion coming????JMHO

Waiting for this to become available on the Today show site...JMHO

Maybe JB is going to throw BC under the bus on the basis of tampering in potential evidence related to a Defense investigation/case -- and BC wants to pre-empt that by removing himself and pulling the rug from under JB?

So he stays on and then waits to testify in court that the motion is full of lies? - Again he would be guilty by association. People would be saying that he's a liar too, he knew the motion was full of lies but he stayed because he liked being in the limelight and he could get more info and write a book.

fyi nice to know that my opinion is really of no value but worth the time for a non-serious running debate

Succinct and to the point - I like it!!
Conway is a liar and has continued to spin untruths and support the Anthony's untruths.
Even his resignation is SPIN, and a lie - IMO
He is quitting because CINDY sent a letter to MN without Conway's knowledge and accused MN of things that Conway KNOWS are not true, and then CINDY sent copies to JB - who in turn used them to make allegations against MN.

He is quitting because CINDY continues to try to CONTROL all matters, in spite of sound legal advice against some of the things she does. Now she has gone to far and implicated Conway in the lies and crappola.

What CINDY did has forced Conway to take a stand .... he could take that stand though, without resigning.

He plans to stay in the case, on the sidelines, much like Atty Tennis is doing, and attend Hearings, to keep themselves relevant for future MEDIA deals and talking head spots on JVM and NG and TruTV. IMO

I hope Cindy does not find another attorney she can manipulate and control like she did Conway.
I'm glad her sense of security is now taken away on this level.
I wish I didn't feel like this, but I agree with this part. This case has brought out way too many media hounds on all sides. jmo

Soooooooooooooo, what does everyone think Attorney John Morgan is doing this morning????? The A's will need one for that trial I would think or they will just have to keep their mouths shut......
Impossible-lol

You are so right. Just resign, give the local media a brief statement. Flying to New York to be on the Today Show sounds inappropriate to me when you could have made a short statement to the locals......jmo

doesn't he have a potential law suit against her?????? Didn't he file one on behalf of ZG???? They aren't the closest of bff's....

Yep..that's right. I always thought Morgan would have the last laugh on this one.

An attorney will be leaving the case against Casey Anthony, according to sources.

WESH 2 News has learned that the attorney for Caylee's grandparents George and Cindy Anthony, Brad Conway, will no longer be serving as the couple's attorney.

According to sources, Conway's move comes as a result of a new filing by Anthony's defense in their ongoing dispute with Texas Equusearch.

In that filing, Jose Baez, Casey Anthony's attorney, claims Conway was given unrestricted access to review 4,000 pages of volunteer documents while the defense has not been given the same access.

If and when Judge Belvin Perry holds a hearing to settle the bad blood between the defense and Equusearch attorney Mark NeJame, sources said Conway could be called as a witness.

In addition, NBC has sent out an advisory saying Conway will be on the "Today" show later Monday morning with a "major announcement." This begs the question will Conway use this national forum to air some of the ongoing grievances he's had with Anthony's defense team in general, and Jose Baez specifically?

I'm just now getting online and haven't read this whole thread, but I've got to say, I'm not surprised. I am surprised he lasted this long. I expected him to resign after the terrible behavior his clients displayed at their depositions for JM. No attorney could defend that train wreck.

Brad Conway is not anywhere near in the same class as Mark Nejame. Mark Nejame resigned on principles, whereas Conway resigned on a technicality.

Going about his business with a big ole giggle struggling to get out.
IMO :cow:

Thump, thump...thump, thump....Brad is that you under the bus???? When this trial is over I wonder if the people who have survived getting thrown under the bus will have a reunion of sorts. Kinda like the war veterans.. The numbers are mounting. 4,000 plus if you count TES....... jmo

Does anyone know if BC can share any "inside info" now that he's not their atty?

I'm thinking the Anthony's (especially Cindy) wanted BC to lie for their daughter and her defense that these allegations against MN were true and he would NOT do it.

I'm still half asleep, but I could have swore he said "I will not lie." It was something like that and I immediately knew that (or thought) that he was asked to lie (by the Anthony's) and he just couldn't. Especially when and if he is called to testify under oath.

That's just my guess?
So does this really have to do with MN representing TES?

Okiedokietoo - No, no, please don't do that - I value your opinion - you make me weigh and balance and we all are simply voicing opinions - we need yours also.
I post with passion - no doubt LOL, but in no way am I fixed in my viewpoint and no one here is "right" - we are simply expressing views about something we really don't have enough information to be "right" about!

Please - stay and post - put me on ignore if you must - but please believe your opinion is valued. And I apologize if I've been responsible for what you've posted above. Truly!

Maybe they were up in NY for more than just the Today Show...KWIM?

And pretty much both your opinions/views were correct in the eyes of the public showing he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. All this because Ms. A_N_T_H_O_N_Y lies like a rug....and so does her mother... jmo
