After the last status hearing, Judge Perry did extend two deadlines. See this post by ThinkTank, it's got some good info and a link to the order: Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - Defense FINALLY Begins Depo Process

It seemed to me Mason was implying during the PC that the deadline extension was something new, but could this be what he was talking about?

Thanks Dear Prudence, I was wondering about that also. Mason doesn't seem to be too aware that all this information is posted online for anyone who wants to take the time to read it. And we do take the time.

Bear in mind, Mr. Mason doesn't seem to realize his media clips are all stockpiled for easy reference. Nothing said on camera is ever "gone", just cause it was said last year.

ITA.

Maybe Mason doesn't watch TV either, or even know how to turn on a computer, lol.

Is it just me, or why would they need another deadline 2 years after Caylee passed. This is getting ridic.

Moo

Mel

I find it shameful. I mean it should be an embarassment to anyone involved with the case. It's going on 3 years and the defense has been allowed to do nothing for most of that time, as well as squander 300k. There has to be some way to reform the rules to keep this from happening.

Delays tend to favor the defense. The first tactic used in defense is my client didn't do it. Then they delay, delay, delay.

I agree - even Judge P. said as much in the Status Hearing on Aug 30th.
my notes from the Hearing:
Judge- remember last Status Hearing - told State sit down with LE and go through files and records make sure they don't have anything they overlooked. This case must come to an end at some point. This case must be tried at some point. Been over 2 years. everybody placed this on front burner. not for backburner. It will be tried on the date that is set. Unless you have a pretty good reason why you did not disclose info, I'm reminded of a time LE brought in confession brought in day of trial, did not get used in that trial.

Judge - will fashion an Order and get it out this week
discovery rules in FL - no trial by ambush
one remedy is exclusion - last remedy
delay all lawyers like - time to digest - frank with you, doubt I will delay
I have informed everyone once trial starts, working 6 days a week, on Sat from 9-1:30
try to stop each day at 5:00, start 8:45 in morning .....
