That seems like a ridiculous delay to me. Four months? Putting it six months after she was arrested for it? Is that sort of delay on what is really a pretty minor charge normal in NC? I'm really hoping that they've delayed it that long because they figure she's going to have to face far more serious charges before then. :crossfingers:

Hearing for Elisa Baker starts at 10AM this morning. Rad Berky, WCNC, is attending and will be reporting on 4pm news. Also, her attorneys will be seeking a reduction in bond.

As far as I know it did, I've tweeted Rad and asked for an update but no response yet. I am wandering if that's maybe because they asked everyone to turn their phones off while court was in session.

Also, I was just reading back through the old news threads and one of the articles mentioned that they are supposed to revisit unsealing the additional warrants today. Not sure if that's still on for today or not but at one time it was talked about as being heard today.

Scott Wickersham with WSOC Eyewitness news just tweeted that they will be giving an update at 5pm about Elisa Baker possibly facing new charges as soon as today. One of those new charges could be related to her marriage.
