..any possible hope that these more serious charges ( communicating threats/assault with a deadly weapon) will not get a continuance-----and land adam in jail on the 27th??

Meanwhile on Thursday,(nov.18) the Bakers were appointed attorneys in a court hearing Thursday in Caldwell County. The charges in the hearings for Elisa and Adam Baker are unrelated to the investigation into the disappearance and death of Zahra.

The Baker couple did not appear in Caldwell County court on Thursday and their cases were continued to Jan. 27, 2011. They were both given attorneys for the various charges, which include communicating threats.

It show AB is suppose to be there at 9AM (8 charges). EB is also suppose to be there at 9AM (15 charges). Can anyone find any MSM reports or tweets...I havent seen any.

Cato Fashions failed to respond to the summons and the 18-year old charge was voluntarily dismissed by the District Attorney's Office on Jan. 21 due to insufficient evidence to prosecute.

Dropping the charge now doesn't mean it can't be brought back later.

I'm not terribly concerned about this one little charge being dropped. It's not like this $76 bad check charge was keeping her in jail.

The jail is listing a court date of 02/25 for Elisa's charge of Second Degree Murder with Aggravating Factors. It also lists the SBI as the charging agency.

Her next listed court date is on 04/04 for both the obstructing charge and the 2nd degree murder charge.

You know, I don't know how to feel about her pleading not quilty. Does this mean there was no deal made for her leading LE to what they found of Zahra? Or I guess they caught her in enough lies and the deal was squashed?
I anticaipate that the defense is going to go after Adam hard, and I worry there may be enough reasonable doubt in a juries eyes as to Adam's involvement that EB could get off on this. Anyone else feel this way?
