Cindy did look upset at the end when she was walking out of the court room. Did she ever get a look or smile from her DD? The tight white top she had on didn't look right or great on her. Gone is Cindy's Muffin Top though. She's a sophisticated woman now, ready to wheel and deal.

I take it back about Cindy looking sophisticated after seeing the pic. Her hair looks good - that's the nice thing I could say.

Because JB said the experts offered no reports, is it fair to say, the defense can't pull up reports from those experts at trial?

Hi Mac, I think that they will miraculously prepare them at the last minute. They will not be on the stand testifying from memory. Ever.
The best best thing we heard the entire hearing was when Jeff Ashton said he wanted to put on the record something that Baez just told him privately, that the expert that examined the hairs is not going to testify.

What that means, imo, is that the expert opined in a manner that would not be helpful to the case for the defense. I assume that is why we are seeing some of the initial experts replaced with fresh new faces, and possibly fresh DIFFERENT opinions.
Love Jeff Ashton and Linda Drane Burdick.
Baez tries to get in little insults, while they get in the SUBSTANCE!!!!

Where did they dig up that old orange blouse? Don't tell me Cindy had it in storage for Casey? Dear me, that is a way out of style blouse. I agree with whoever said it looks like a jail outfit color.

I cannot comprehend why they don't just put her in a simple dress shirt and professional, dark-toned blazer.

(Well, that's among many other things I cannot comprehend about this whole thing...)

As a person of science the only time filing a report would not be part of the investigative task at hand was if the person commissioning it specifically asked me to forgo that or to destroy it. I wouldn't be testifying in court without a copy of my report in hand though. A report is a legal record and anyone attaching a Dr, in front of their name knows that.
The defense has no defense. BP knows it too which is why he can spare them a few extra yards of rope.
What kind of TES witness takes until March 31 to name? The kind who are hanging up their phones and yelling explatives IMO.

I can't thank people any more. The option is gone. Am I still here?? Are you???

I think you got it all, or at least that's all I heard. Interesting that the defense let that out. I don't think they want the state/public to know that their strategy isn't resting on RK. Or maybe they still have no clear cut strategy ? I wouldn't be surprised if it was the latter.

I thought Casey looked very surprised when Jose said they might be dropping the motion.

Yes, I was surprised also they appear to have dropped that, however the media was reporting last week that the Defense deposition of Kronk and particularly Brandon was "not helpful". With no one to testify to "prior bad acts" what's the point of going after Kronk other than to appear idiotic?

Snark alert. Cindy must be mad at Casey, as she brought her an ugly orange shirt that matches the jail jumpsuits - yikes.

No George? hmmmm...telling. Not like he has a lot on his plate right now. Maybe off getting another tattoo?

Thoughts:
Who in God's name is choosing these blouses for KC? Cindy? Wow, maybe Cindy really is going for the old "payback is a *****".

Is there no type of "seasonal wear" in Florida? How hot is it in Florida now? Why choose a short sleeved blouse when it is almost December?

That white haired lady defense attorney reminds me of Ted Kennedy.

Prosecutor LDB is really short - or JA is really tall. Or both.

George found something better to do again today.

KC needs to learn better "court decorum". The smiles and giggles just come off as out of place, IMO. And the female paralegal or intern next to her is being unprofessional in participating in whatever was being discussed, IMO. However, having just read the book written by the Scott Peterson jury and them saying how much his demeanor during the trial influenced them, perhaps it's best to just let KC "be herself".

Reading here: Thanks for counting KC's pulse. Keep up the good work!

OT-Off topic, but could you tell me the name of that book about SP? Thanks.

It really irratates me to see Casey smirking and laughing and passing notes. Wait until RL hits her though. It just doesn't seem to really have sunk in yet!

It never has and never will.. there is no such thing as rl to this chick IMO.

Pretty sure that is Michelle M. (Medina, maybe?), an associate attorney of JB's.

Yes it is Michelle Medina, she's the lawyer who sees Casey more than Baez at the jail now.

I find it interesting that as we enter into the Holiday period that ICA is now officially on countdown.

ICA will spend the Holidays and New Year pondering the outcome of the May 2011 trial.

I think that ICA will be excited either way, whether she is found not guilty on some technicality or if she is found Guilty and becomes officially notorious as a proclaimed child killer who swears her innocence.

ICA will become a legendary martyr ... in her own mind.

When will CA realize that KC not "letting" CA visit, not taking her calls...not answering mail, not turning around to say hello (or even nod in her direction) is because Team KC is going to try to pin this entire thing on HER!? CA...wake up! (p.s. bad shirt choice! Anything else would have been better! Go back to the cotton t-shirts!)

Oh my! I didn't see this part with CA. Not a good look at all! I do see Jim L. was there as usual. I wish the state would put him on their witness list and depose and ask, why is he always there, attached to CA's hip. :furious:

Can't wait for Kathi Belich's interview with Bill Shaeffer, regarding his opinion of the hair and also withdrawing the motion about Kronk.

Did anyone else think the judge was "off" today? He couldn't remember names, and referred to Kronk as the "meter reader"? Kronk is not a minor player in this case, he found the body.

I just found it odd....probably nothing.

The one refreshing thing I saw today was Ann Finnell's demeanor- she stated her requests with reason, apologized when she could not be exact about dates, readily acknowledged when HHJP commented that it wasn't her first time in Court, and then was appreciative when HHJP gave her more time to work with Mitigation.
Heck, she even volunteered to call JA with the information he wanted. What a difference she would have made to all the other ridiculous hearings c/o idiot Baez. He has to be the most juvenile of Attorneys, I'm surprised JA has kept his temper with him so far...

If she has on one of those wide belts it is not going to work for her. It will make her look bigger than she is. And she may still be taking the
antidepressants which could be causing the weight gain. The shorter hair did look better than the style she has now.

I didn't get to watch today so thanks everyone for the pictures and comments.

That was an interesting picture, and bad angle for her (CA). The shirt doesn't work for her at all and makes her badonka-donks look way to big for her frame. When you're on camera - add 10 pounds easy. A nice black short sleeve (not tight) would have worked much better.

And is ICA still wearing the same striped pants? Can't mummy drum up another pair of slacks? What is wrong with that family -- even Scott Peterson came to court in a suit.

His foot was tapping and his chair was rocking a lot so I think it was irritation today at the timewaster Baez. He mispronounces names frequently, and forgot Ann Finnell's name too today, but I don't read much into that.

Cheney throughing name calling around...called them (not sure who) a bunch of idiots!!!!

546 Cheney's hours total

Baez - did you get my text message?

Cheney not listening to Baez talking to him about messages sent with attachments.

Thanks for sharing what was being said for those of us who didn't watch!

I missed the hearing and appreciate everyone's observations of what happened. Thank you!

Were there any other orders other than the December 31st deadline for the list of defense witnesses and March 30th deadline for depositions, and that the penalty phase list of mitigation witnesses will be sealed? I hope I got these orders correct.

My overall opinion after reading through most of this thread is that the defense doesn't seem to have a real defense strategy.

You're spot on -- he was irritated with Baez today. Then again, isn't he always ;) I hope he makes it through the trial without a breakdown!
