I'm confused...how are these experts going to refute what the prosecution has WITHOUT reports? Am I missing something here?

Reports are generally not admissible anyway. The SA can find out the expert's opinions through deposition, and the expert has to actually explain his opinions at trial--he can't just say, "read my report."

Ohhhh, thank you. I thought they had to submit a report to backup what they are testifying to, but I guess the deposition covers that! I am not confused anymore.
