Geesh! Does Cindy think she needs protection in JP's courtroom?

Yes, really!!! Thinking she's going to get the big media swarm re the River release I guess. Needs him there for the "no comment" response. Heh heh.

Um Cindy - it's not "don't ask don't tell" it's "won't ask - don't care"....

Is this a different court room?
The regular courtroom is undergoing repairs ..maybe in preparation for the trial, but I doubt that since it is used for media type trials all the time, but who knows. The hearing today was on the 19th floor and not the usual 23rd floor. This courtroom was used in the early days of the trial, I believe. There were two guards at the door, two more guards on my left near Ashton's table, one guard near the defense table and two more guards by JBP's entrance door. Seemed more guarded today.

I am going crazy...the expense for travel is totally different than Dr. Lee charging for his work. Is it JUST the travel that is in question?

Did we see any documentation, ever, yet, that he was indeed paid for coming in December when the remains were found? If he wasn't paid then, and we know that short notice trip, in December of all months was not cheap, yet he continued on the team, why say no to continuing if he wasn't paid for the summer trip?

No, it does not add up. The judge made short order of the joke. Love, love, love Jeff Ashton for ringing the gong bong too late again , time is up pal bell. He does not miss a beat.

I was glad to see Kathy Belich in the courtroom today...she's been MIA lately in the Baez "on the street" interviews. Looking forward to Bill S.'s video regarding the hearing, later.

BBM. So did they think Casey would try to make a break for it, or perhaps they might have to remove HHJP's hands from Baez's throat? Holy security overload, Batman!

:twocents:If I may:twocents:: HCL frequently considers "pro bono" as the services provided NOT the costs to get him to provide the intellectual services, therefore he may be :innocent:"interpreting":innocent: that he is entitled to any and all expenses incurred of a personal nature. AND that's all I'm:angel: going to say about that cause that's NOT the universal definition of "pro bono" by other scientists :blushing:

Gee, can anybody spell "pre-signed agreements/contracts"?

I was thinking more along the lines that Baez finally told the truth to Casey, "Hate to tell ya chic, but we're screwed without a kiss in this case."

Is it important to depose Dr Lee in person? Why would he require travel to Florida for the prosecutions deposition?

I had thought that the prosecution had a hard time getting any kind of answer as to when they can depose him. I hadn't realized it was all to do with his travel arrangements to be deposed. OR, is Mr Lee holding his deposition hostage until he gets paid for PRIOR travel arrangements for the defense.

Is that legal?

Since when does traveling to florida cost the taxpayers $8,000.00, for one trip? (and apparently half price)

Apparently so?
$8,000.00 buys quite the airplane ride and hotel..
