...OR...

...perhaps we're learning that the defense strategy will be to say that Casey DID report Caylee missing to George, Cindy and/or Lee...and it was at THEIR direction that Casey complied not to involve the authorities. That would have Casey saying she feared for her life if she went to authorities...make her the victim, etc. etc.

Just sayin'

Shhhh, BJB...we don't want to feed them their own defense now, do we??? LMAO

I keep envisioning Ashton addressing this one. He is not even going to have to use his usual passionate voice when arguing. His biggest obstacle is going to be suppressing his laughter.

Seriously folks....It is downright scary that there are hundreds of us "bloggers" who know the ins and outs of this case SO MUCH BETTER than the defense that is now being funded by FL taxpayers.
I have no more words about this one.

BBM...isn't that sad? Isn't it the sad "truth", Beach..even us laymen know this case better than those darn defense attornies. We have more insight to this case than Baez has his ego...as TWA says, you just can't make this stuff up!

Sadder yet is the fact the defense seemed to have done nothing for this upcoming trial before the prisoner was deemed indigent. Now, they are at full speed ahead, glaring gramatical/spelling errors and all. That should infuriate the Florida taxpayers. It also appears to me, they are downright lying about certain pieces of evidence. I just don't know how they can get away with that! JMHO

Hopefully, the SA's will put an end to his dishonesty, his unethical standards, his outright lies and he wants to be seen as an "officer of the court"! Maybe Baez needs that return trip down memory lane and refresh himself about why it took him so long to gain that license...JMHO

Well, if that is route they want to take....I expect to see arrest warrants issued STAT for George, Cindy and/or Lee.

Nahhhhh - they wouldn't have filed this: http://www.wftv.com/pdf/26331443/detail.html
if they wanted that bus.

In the words of Andrea Lyon...

"What do I wish wasn't there?????" File a motion."

Looks like the defense wishes that alot of stuff wasn't there!!

Apologies in advance if this has been answered and I missed it, but do we know yet what time the hearing is tomorrow? TIA!

I really wish Judge Perry would walk in tomorrow afternoon, say "good afternoon" and sit down and just stare at the defense table for a few seconds with that grin, that he has, on his face. Just make them sit there and squirm for a good 30 seconds to a minute.

Tomorrow's hearing plus a (very hopeful) Buccaneers win and Giants and Packers loss.... My Birthday week would be complete!

They stopped just short of requesting that the judge admonish jurors to disregard their understanding of a monthly calendar - proving the 31 days. I guess that one was a bit too much to try to figure out.

They can say whatever they want. BUT in order for it to have any resonance or credibility with the jury they will have to put a witness on the stand to say that this was the case. At this point GA or CA cannot do this without impeaching themselves. So the only witness they would have is KC, is it not? And no matter what our feelings are regarding the defense teams skills or competence I still can't picture any of them being insane enough to put their client on the stand.

In reference to the tattoo motion where is states "approximately two weeks after Caylee was reported missing."

Maybe they found Jeff and Juliet? Weren't those the only two people on the face of this planet that Casey had told (reported to) about Caylee being "missing?"

I don't even understand why it would matter if she had gotten the tattoo 2 weeks after Caylee was ultimately reported missing by Cindy? Her baby was supposed to be "missing." She had been "kidnapped" and she went out and got a tattoo that says "The Beautiful Life?" Come on! The tattoo will be coming in and I am sure Jeff Ashton or Linda D.B. will have no problem reminding Casey and the defense that she had gotten the tattoo 2 weeks AFTER her baby was murdered!

If that's their plan they'd better file a motion to withhold all the conversations that they said led up to the 911 calls, particularly the one where CA says 'I just found out my grand-daughteris missing - my daughter just admitted to me she has been missing for a month'- those excited utterances are going to come in, and they're going to cause her trouble I'm afraid.... then they'll have to exclude all their interviews with LE... the trouble with this defense is they're not capable of remembering ALL of the lies.

At 2:40 ... Lee asks, "how about your tattoo?" Casey replies "that's Caylee related."

Would be nice, but I don't think we'll get that luxury :)

I believe HHJP will, as he has before, generalize his admonition-That is, he will address the issue as though it is incumbent upon both sides to share discovery without the tension, not just the defense. He'll allow JB to spew, he'll reiterate his past rulings sternly and with sanctions, and he'll end by telling both sides to walk the line in this high-profile case.
We also have to see what Ashton does....even when Mark NeJame was waaay right about JB, HHJS had to tell Mark to calm down at one of the hearings-If Mr. Ashton gets ticked and starts taking KC's defense apart, HHJP
might stop him or lump him with JB a bit as far as the nasty tone that has developed.
The nasty tone, BTW, has always been initiated by JB-He uses personal insults and makes accusations, especially after he does something he wasn't supposed to do.

I think what the motion implies is that KC got the tattoo two weeks after Caylee was reported missing. KC was in jail two weeks after CA reported Caylee missing and had been missing for 31 days. Big ooooppps on defense's part. See too many lies even they can't get it straight.

Not quite as glaring as it was for them to say the duct tape was recovered "NEAR" the remains--but still, rather a factual stretch for us what have studied the facts.

I hope HHSS is not sitting on his rainbow right above HHJP's head Monday because he will get knocked cattywhompus when HHJP's chair rocks fast enough to finally achieve liftoff...

Wait a minute though ~ There MAY be something to this.
During the indengcy hearing, Baez was asked under oath when he had been retained or hired by Casey.
He lowers his head, and mumbles, June 16th, and is asked to repeat it.
Which he did, with the exact same day. And, what threw me for a loop that day was that no one questioned, or, corrected that date.
I know that we talked about here, and some thought that it was just a nervous slip up. I never did, then, or now esp in light of that particular motion now, as it reads. We know that they are dense, but, they are also sly and sneaky.

So, if that's the case, would Baez come back and say that "yes, she was reported missing, but to ME"?
He wouldn't have to dilvudge any reason for telling her to wait it out, as it were, I suppose, would he??

Which would bring us to FaeFrost's comment, that if they claim she told Lee, Cindy or George, that they would have to take the stand, or, Casey, null.

We would have Baez stating it, and that it had been client/attorney private info.

It would also explain how Baez made it to the court house in record time as Richard Hornsby wrote about on his blog one time.

Course, Baez would have to produce some paperwork to attest to that June 16th hire date, and we all know how his book-keeping has been.
But, its an interesting thought.........maybe???

Using THAT date, it would make the above true then.

Sorry, but I cannot get over the fact that this team is so clueless. Does no one proof read these motions. It's not like this is the first booboo they've made. The tattoo one is just amazing. Do they not realize what they are implying? I really believe that they are working very hard to get this case thrown out. I so hope that Judge Perry really puts down his foot this time, but I've got the feeling as stated in a couple of the above posts that he will be lenient with the defense because of appeals or mistrial. I really hope that he does discuss the state's motion. I would really like to see how Baez will argue this one.
