I was just looking at FB and it says (my daughter) and Joe Bozz are now friends. Well you can guess what I really thought it said. I almost fainted.

toally OT but I seriously need to quit trying to type in the dark. Sorry for typos

The Defense works in the dark so we all just thought you were trying to get a sense of what that is like. :great:

After the hearing, KB followed the defense out into the hallway. From inside the courtroom you could hear CM yelling John Allen! Get these people away from me. So the rest of the audience goes into the hallway to see what the commotion is all about. KB is asking questions of the defense regarding false statements to the court and CM is bumping her post-bunionectomy-shoe walker with his brief case. He calls her an a$$hole and gets on the elevator. She follows him and a deputy comes between them and indicates that she must get off the elevator.
Sgt Allen and another deputy are sitting in the front row behind the prosecution during the hearing. They wouldn't tell KB what they were there for. After the hearing JB and CM come up to them and talk. I think I heard that they promised to get some papers to them. I heard the word polygraph, but I don't know the context nor do I know who said that. The defense left the building without an escort of any kind. Sgt Allen and his co-worker left with the prosecution.

OMG!!! Wow, These gentlemen caught my attention at the end of the hearing. Each of them screamed(metaphorically) of professionalism and their demeanor toward JB when CM told him to get his(cough) behind over there and speak to them. Did anyone else notice that LDB wasn't the least bit interested in acknowledging JB? And of course JB being, well JB, spoke to everyone but LDB.

I loved how LDB brought up TES and the reports and discovery LE has only recently discovered. As my kids say..boom ya!

TOTALLY!! TOTALLY!

Or you got the baby... can do no wrong and got away with everything...

Oh. Can you tell I'm the oldest? :rocker:

I'm the oldest too, woot!

But I'm thinking only child spoiled to death by family. He seriously reminds me of my twelve year old stepdaughter. She will keep trying to tell variations of the same story as an excuse no matter how many times my husband tells her to stop telling stories. She thinks if she has an excuse, she can get away with something, but not with us. She should know that by now, but she STILL tries it. I swear, at times, they could be TWINS. And she is an only child, spoiled to death. Hmmm, her mother left too. I wonder if Baez didn't get enough hugs from mommy as a kid?

I know this has already been said a million ways to Sunday, but I was shocked at the defense performance today. After all the prior rulings, clarifications and sanctions, JB continued with the excuses that were lame,if not outright lies, the whining and finger pointing, despite the SA's impressive attention to every detail.

I think it's JB who's walking down that hallway, now. He's sticking to his plan, even though it's obvious everyone else knows there is no office,no blackberry,no job in this hallway! There is no dead squirrel,no rotten pizza,no witness to back up whatever the defense story they try to put forth.

I keep waiting for this insanity to end. That these lawyers, these parents of the murderer, these defense supporters who insert themselves ,really think anyone is stupid enough to believe their stories and excuses.......R U kidding me? I'm waiting for Ashton Kutcher to jump up from the gallery and say we are all being punked.

They are all a bunch of flipping idiots (the defense) IMO, how they will defend ICA is laughable. I totally believe ICA is guilty of Murder One, but these flipping buffoons are incapable of providing a case. Start Over. IMO, we will anyway.

In most intances where an attorney is consulting as an expert on something IME, that person tells you what the fee will be. usually that goes something like this. Attorney contacts expert. Expresses interest in hiring expert. Expert replies with interest or no. If with interest, attorney sends expert documents for review, etc. Expert charges a fee for the time spent reviewing and a fee for a formal report of their opinions on those items reviewed. Attorney agrees or does not. Expert prepares report after receiving fee for same. If report aligns with attorney's case, attorney deposes. Expert charges more fees, usally time, travel, if needed meals etc. Experts opinion is memorialized in both report and deopsition. Deposition gives oppsoing counsel an opportunity to figure out experts opinion and attempt to knock it down.

To me, it sounds as if JB has lots of potential experts, but I have seen nothing in this hearing which leads me to believe that he has these "potentials" onboard.

The thing that kills me is that what, two and half years, three years since he talked to these people? That's like two and half to three LIFETIMES for them. Does not realize how much can happen in that time period? It's not like time stops for these people on the Casey Anthony case and they are just waiting by the phone to hear from Baez. No, they are going to move on, do their thing, and it's Baez's fault if he just let this lapse, thinking he had them at the words "Dollar, dollar bills, y'all."

I mean, sheesh, I feel like I've lived two or three lives at least since I started following this case! I've followed this through at least three jobs, I know that much, LOL.

You know what? You are right. I just had an epiphany. He does. Onlyyyyyy... he's 2 steps back. Sooo, people smell shifty on him. He musta bought a bottle at Macy's when it was on sale and sprayed it everywhere. Now, everyone can smell it, watches him, knows it, bam. SAO had his number today. JB was like Wile E. Coyote.

Lots of luck there boys!! :seeya:

:floorlaugh: Ha! And the SAO is the roadrunner!!!!! That is hysterical but true!!!! OMG, I can NEVER watch the roadrunner cartoons again without a completely different and funnier interpretation! :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Heheehehehe, I had a day dream about this case I want to share:

The trial has started, JB is up talking his normal nonsense, SA objects, JP orders the jury excused, there is a sidebar, as the sidebar ends, ICA stands up, and says JP I object to this proceeding. Everyone looks at her, you can hear a pin drop, ICA turns to the camera, smiles and turns to JP and says "Your Fired".

The trail proceeds at in the end, she is found Guilty of Capital Murder.

Sniffer stuff. Oh yeah, and vacuums aren't a forensic science. *headdesk* How you can be the LEAD on a capital case and not know the proper terms for the forensic science you don't want in at trial? HOW?

This is another thing, that I had almost forgot about, that floors me from today. Unbelievable.

It really is unbelievable,isn't it?

I'm starting to wonder if HHJB will allow this farce to continue. It just seems to me that he's gone almost as far as he can go to save this case. In order for ICA to get a solid guilty verdict and harsh sentence ,she must have competent council. Otherwise there will be grounds for appeal.

JSR mentioned earlier that LDB looked unhappy after the meeting in the judges' chambers. I wonder if the discussion turned to the possibility that the JB may be in deep legal doodoo, which would result in a delay of the trial so his replacement could get up to speed :waitasec:

Well, there it was again..when one is sure there are no depths of ignorance and bombast to plumb, Mr Baez schools us all on how to say 90% of nothing and 10% of misdirection in a tortuous 90 minutes of scrabbling to cover his ample derriere. Mr.Mason sat stoic and unmoving for the most part but I suspect he was frozen in horror rather than admiration from his out of control partner in defense. I loved how CM lost his cool and began yelling after the hearing was over, I used to wonder how he got mixed up with JB but after his meltdown with KB I can see they are birds of a feather, that or JB has something on CM.

I foresee JB being dragged kicking and screaming to trial demanding delays, sick days, and supposedly planned vactions in a bid to delay the inevitable. He has to know that it's all over with the end of the trial, even if he manages to avoid losing his license he is the last lawyer anyone is going to want to represent them.

I was just the whole afternoon...

Exactly. And not to even mention the things that have come out in the interem. Who's to say that while they may have been onboard two years ago, in theory, they are not onboard after the circus came to town (circus being the folly of all the BS J has laid down about Kronk, TES, LB etc. being about to come in and blow this whole case wide open).

After all of the BS (and highly publicized BS I might add, thanks to JB's love of face time and bomshells, ((I must wonder if he admires NG at this point with his "bombshells"))) I must wonder if these same experts who may have been onboard at the beginning of this farce, are still onboard at this moment in time. Based upon the apparent unavailability of all of these experts, I am left to wonder. Hmmmm

Btw, HIPAA does apply to medical providers, or anyone dealing with medical records. I work for the OK State Dept. of Rehab, and we are exempt from HIPAA laws because we aren't technically insurance. We held disabled people get jobs, and sometimes that involves paying for medical treatment to do so. We have a letter to that effect that we send out if necessary to get what we need to get medical claims paid, or for the counselors to get medical records. Sometimes the counselors have, on file, a form signed by the client giving permission for them to get medical records if a provider insists on seeing one of those before releasing medical records. HIPAA basically means that medical records from medical providers or keepers of medical records are kept confidential unless there's permission from the patient for them be released. And if Baez has a medical degree, that is just about the scariest thing I've ever heard of. Florida should be very afraid if this man is a doctor.

He's not Spitz's lawyer, he's not a medical professional, so he is not held to HIPAA standards. How nice he decided to try to get it sealed, but that wasn't necessary, especially since Spitz had already talked about his medical condition in another case. Unless maybe he signed a confidentiality agreement with Spitz? But that's not HIPAA.

It kind of sounds like Spitz himself didn't think he was testifying, so he didn't bother to notice Baez about what happened to him. Why cover himself in one case but not Casey's? I'm sure Baez found out by finally attempting two years too late to get into contact with Spitz, and was told then about Spitz's medical condition.

I noticed that Cindy did not do her usual waiting around at the end to give Baez a hug or whisper in his ear this time. I did not see when she left though.
Her church friend, Donna, was right there by her side today, yuckin it up and talking with Cindy and Jim the media guy.
I noticed that Cindy had some type of ring on her left middle finger ... but no wedding rings on her left hand.
It annoyed me to see Cindy so jovial and in such laughing-talking good spirits today. This was a tea party for her and she was lovin every minute of it.

Cindy still loves her little "cameos".

And I am the middle child as well. The baby did get away with everything!

Me too! But I would guess that all of us middle children here on WS are the 'exception to the rule' right?
