2011.02.18 Depo: Tony Lazzarro - depo linked on pg. 5

I have a friend who's 15 year old daughter is a huge drama queen, she'd tried to take her violin on the school bus and I guess the bus driver took issue with it, the little girl came home in tears and my friend called the principal screaming that the bus driver ABUSED her daughter. People throw that word around like it's a feather in the wind.

Amy's comment about bad parents not having good kids, I'll just go right ahead and forgive that. I won't discount Amy on any level because she made an unqualified statement like that. The girl was taken for a ride inside and out by Casey, and I don't want to scrutinize the poor girl over something she's clearly not experienced enough to have a true opinion on. It's ok with me that she said that.

It's also ok with me that Tony made comments about her being a good mom, because as someone said upthread, he's a college kid with a set of values that will change drastically in five years, probably have already changed for that matter.

These poor kids have been through enough, I want this over with so they can move on with their lives. Having to take depositions almost three years later?? Now THAT's being abused ... by the DT.

Reminder that the topic of this thread is OS article referencing Tony Lazzaro's depo.

Let's steer it back on topic folks. :)

Where this post lands is random.

These depos of Tony L's and Amy we are discussing that have just been done and released - these depos are DEFENSE depos - right? To specifically target information the DT wants emphasized? Slanted in their direction we could almost say?

Well let me rephrase that - they are slanted in the direction the DT wants them to be.....

In my opinion KC was never abused or hit. No way no how. THis girl is not afraid of anyone. She told the abuse story to guys she was sleeping with so they feel sorry for her end of story. I know a girl like this who would tell guys she was abused and molested because she thought she was so gorgeous that even those men in her life could not keep their hands off. Even KC's fake seizer was an attempt at attention. Now those statements she made are going to help run George Anthony over at trial.

The defense is goign to claim that George had access to the car, caylee and control over KC and was never investogated and that is enough reasonable doubt to get KC off.

Okay, so I just started reading Tony's depo that was just released. On page 13, Mason says "I'm going to my office, I can't stand this."

I wonder why he couldn't stand it?

Is there a link to this depo? I don't see one on WS yet. Where are you reading it?

That is a very good question you raised. How odd for Mason to say that. I guess he wasn't having fun anymore!

Respectfully BBM

In reality, I, personally, do not believe that is enough to get ICA off.... but the defense may certainly give it the old yeoman's try to implicate GA. I just don't believe in the end they will be successful when the State lays it all out for the jury.

In reading Tony's depo... HIS friend was in a car accident. So, this must be why Zanny was in an accident. :waitasec: The chameleon.

So, they waited this long to depose TonE so he couldn't remember enough to sound credible?

So let me see, after reading Tony L.'s depo, this young man believes seeing ICA a lot meant anywhere from two to a maximum of four hours at a time when he was sleeping or ___, y'know.

And she cooked his dinner with the food she brought over, cleaned the apartment and had sex with him, and he spent up to 16 hours a day at school, so that qualified as really nice and normal for a girlfriend. Uh - huhhh.....:floorlaugh:

ICA says...ICA said...ICA claims... = take it with a grain of salt.

Having said that, and reading the entire article, it appears as though ICA was aware that her parents would be going for full custody of Caylee. Even before she was found by Cindy on that terrible day for Casey in July...

So I guess the Defense will claim ICA couldn't tell her parents that Caylee was missing (dead and rotting in a swamp) because she knew that they were already going after custody.

But as Richard Hornsby points out...she had multiple chances and opportunities to tell any number of people that Caylee was not with a fictious nanny. She chose not to. For her own benefit.

Her lies know no bounds apparently. AH said in the article (from AH's February depo) that ICA claimed she had no idea where the bad smell in her car came from and that it must have been that her father hit a squirrel. Always placing the blame elsewhere. Always that ICA. Such a great person. I think what Tony and AH saw up until ICA was busted was not the real Casey. The real Casey was the spiteful hateful stealing liar who only showed her true colors when she was caught. The real Casey is who we see in court. Not the fiction her parents have tried to create after the fact and during her life whenever she got into trouble. The real Casey is the one the Defense is trying desperately for us not to see. That is a grifter. A liar. A good time acquaintence...that would steal whatever money you had in your wallet as soon as you turned your head.

ITA. Reminds me of the movie Primal Fear. The main character is portrayed (by Ed Norton) as a mild mannered, timid, abused young man whose personality splits allowing his strong alter ego to kill his abuser....

Movie reveals that the character played by Norton is actually a wicked, vicious person, and killing is no problem for him......the mild mannered persona was all an ACT................

I don't know if ICA was sexually abused by her father. It doesn't matter to me if she was or wasn't with respect to what I believe she did to Caylee.

Tony L being "informed" by ICA that she was abused may play into the 31-days and a "fear of consequences" explanation.....that ICA was trying to "fix" the problem before a problem was discovered.....thus her statement that she was "absolutely petrified" of CA finding out..........

So, they waited this long to depose TonE so he couldn't remember enough to sound credible?

I'm not sure it's that he didn't really remember, or didn't want to remember. I noticed he was tripping along, and then totally remembered breaking the lock off of the shed at Casey's house. And then it was back to not remembering so much. I think he is remembering what he wants to remember. I think there are things he could be saying, but he doesn't want to make himself or Casey look bad. And he doesn't seem to want to admit that all he wanted Casey for is sex either. I think he realizes how immature he was back then and is embarrassed by it.

Agree Aedrys, and adding Tony L stated he has his own ideas about the media - didn't say he doesn't trust them or go as far as say he hates them, but he knows this depo will be released to the public.

I think part of his "dis-remembering" might have to do with not wanting to be pursued by the media all over again too.

I think you nailed it Aedrys. A lot of time has gone by...TL was at an age where his behavior probably does embarrass him a little. If he wasn't at the center of the murder trial of the century he could probably laugh at himself. Sadly this case has soo many victims....TL is one of those too. It makes me wonder if he'll have trust issues now....

I am sure Casey presented her charming side to Tony and kept him satisfied sexually and so he remembers those limited hours he spent with her as good. It was the honeymoon early phase of a relationship. It appears to be all superficial...

In regards to memory loss, I noticed that even in the first depo taken closer in time to the events. He just has poor memory recall in general IMHO..

That is a very good question you raised. How odd for Mason to say that. I guess he wasn't having fun anymore!

After reading the depo, it seems that he became upset while they were trying to question TL about the lack of smell in the trunk. There was some kind of objection from Ashton when Baez was asking about that, then some technical difficulties. That seems like a key part of the deposition. But something bothered Mason so much that he decided to leave.

It's not like me to be fair about anything about Mason - :innocent: - but the depo was done by web-cam and Mason may have been having real trouble with the sound, and got completely frustrated with it.

That could be it, but it seemed like to me he really didn't want Baez asking Tony anything about the smell in the trunk. He even warned Baez by saying his name, and Baez ignored him, and then he left after that. He probably used technical difficulties as an excuse, but I'm thinking he was really upset that Baez was asking Tony about the smell in Casey's trunk. I wonder why that is?
