In cases around the nation, investigators and prosecutors are increasingly using information from social media sites as evidence. Earlier this month, a Florida judge ruled entries from Casey Anthony’s MySpace page would be allowed to be submitted as evidence in her trial for charges of first-degree murder. Messages sent to Anthony by her mother via the social-networking site were also admitted. Anthony is on trial for murder in the 2008 disappearance of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony.
