FWIW, over half the counties in TX are under 'burn ban' almost daily...this happens when conditions are dry & winds are high....IMO, it's likely no nefarious reason for the northwest TX fires - just people doing dumb things.

Smooth - I don't deserve any thanks. Our fellow WS poster, Missizzy, is the one who deserves the accolades. I am merely following up on the information she (and others) have found, and have posted here what I personally find relevant to Hailey's case.

I do agree that we must be educated and must refuse to live in denial if we are to protect the present & future generations.

We must rise up as Wise Women and Wise Men so that we may offer counsel to those who are coming up the path behind us, and for those who will someday forge the path ahead after we are no longer here.

We must all learn from our own life experiences, and from the life experiences of one other. We each must offer what we have learned to those who have not yet gained knowledge, in the hope they will hear, and in the hope of sparing them the pain of our own hard-won lessons.

Turning a deaf ear is not (and has never been) my way.

As a survivor of domestic violence, during my graduate program (which occurred later in life after a divorce from an abusive partner) I completed a volunteer internship as a victim's advocate in the Domestic Violence Unit in my county DA's office.

The most important lesson I have learned (personally and professionally): Trust your instincts. Trust your gut. Trust your intuition. They will serve you well. They are your Allies.

ETA- People who view CP are probably paranoid about getting busted, so I guess to use it as currency makes sense. No money trail to lead back to them? Just swapping images to grow their collections.

I saw on NG about the flash drive and items found on the computer at SA's mother's house, but I haven't kept up since then. I assumed the houses were thouroughly searched early on (at least BD's).....does this mean they have had and known about this evidence since the beginning?

I'm asking because I'm not sure if they've said when this evidence was obtained, and if it was early on and BD has since been cleared, that would mean they do not believe she had any knowledge of the flash drive in the drawer?

I see....early January. So I guess someone forgot it was in that drawer, because there was certainly time between when Hailey went missing and the time of this search to have removed it....

I don't recall anyone being cleared, yes this was discovered early on.

Klug plead guilty to charges of production and possession of child , which was probably the best move considering the FBI found “59,000 pictures and 12,000 videos” on his computer.

I haven't read that one but I've read his other one, "Protecting the Gift" - geared more to parents on how to teach children to recognize that 'hinky meter', how to teach children to react, and how to follow your own instincts about letting your children attend certain sleepovers, etc. One of the best books I've read as a parent.

ITA belimom. Someone has an obsessive addiction and/or has made a side business out of their hobby. Absolute boatloads of images. Right now, I'm thinking a hobby that turned into an addiction that parlayed into a business endeavor. I don't like the implications in regards to Hailey, not one bit. MOO.

I also think "The Gift of Fear " is a must read. Too many times we as women, talk ourselves out of the red flags our souls are sending. We have been taught to "be nice" and "not to over - react" nobody likes a "drama queen " However we were given instincts and we shouldn't ignore them. Would you rather be "rude "or "dead" IMO simply stated that is what it boils down to. Nice girls don't fair well with predators.

I think Shawn stalked Hailey and said Hailey was promiscious to blame her for what he did to her; IOW, Hailey "wanted it/ or him.

I sort of thought it was that he found out she had a little boyfriend that WASN'T him. A guy who has "caught his girl with another guy" would probably be angry enough to call her promiscuous... I mean, in Shawn's mind, she was involved with 2 guys at once, assuming there was something going on with him.

The raw video actually shows she's saying that Shawn told her that "of course he didn't do it" (or words to that effect.) She didn't actually say that, but the edited version makes it seem like it.

Apparently no news on finding Hailey today .... and no arrests I take it ....

This case is making me crazy. I can't imagine how CD feels.

They're waiting on the arrests. They've had this evidence since early January, so they've been sitting on it for 6 plus weeks, plenty of time to make an arrest if they wanted to. No rush for a reason, IMO. I am deeply afraid to know just what and who were in those files.

There may be many, many arrests eventually. They tend to "share" their pictures with other like minded individuals, so LE goes after all of them. In the Houston area a couple of years ago they arrested 9 people in one day....they had all been sharing their pics. So LE may be preparing a case against more people than SA.

Yep, at the beginning of this case it was said that Hailey had a boyfriend about three weeks prior to her disappearance.
