The memory stick was a USB flash drive. The affidavit lists it as a PNY Attache 2gb, those are flash drives. I think the use of memory stick is a colloquialism just because it's memory and looks like a stick.

That is what BD's friend said and i think BD has said.. However I have such a hard time believing it...... so much online stuff being done so much stuff with the internet.. we know of it was done at work.. and we know some things done on SA"s mom's computer.......but i'm gonna call bull on the fact they had no computer...... something doesn't add up.... to ME just MOO and all that stuff LOL

I know it's pretty easy.. but these 2 aren't even smart enough to use a free encryption program for their deviant porn (thank god).. i just don't see them doing it

Perhaps the recent search at the landfill was for a computer, BD's computer.

I had posted the question of porn before, but thought SA only, and the reason for there not being a puter in BD's house. I had never suspected BD of it, but this is unreal. So, did they have a computer and it just disappeared after HD went missing? Maybe this is why SA's mother was demanding the puter back and the "everything" he was discussing with her when he called her about quiting his job. ???? JMO...but I don't this porn discovery will end with BD & SA.

Do we know if the memory stick belongs to Billie? I mean it was in her dresser but she does not own a computer and there was porn at Shawn's Mom's house. I still want to give her the benefit of the doubt here.

I want to give her the benefit of the doubt to. SA doesnt get that benefit. Billie might not have known he had these images. 108,000 IS ALOT and I wondered if he ran a server.

I thought the dell laptop was SA's and was broke and taken from Billies home. The computer from SA's moms house I thought to be a different computer. Am I mistaken? I was never really clear on this and I did not really think they would have found child porn.

I firgured the other would be on there.As well as more gore stuff an drug related information(imo)

My hubby and I were talking about how many images were on there and Hubby says it sounds like a virus as we cannot imagine that many images.

Our 2 gig M.card holds 1115 picutes at the normal setting for our camera which is 7.1 mega pixals.
My nieces 2 gig card at 10 mega pixals only holds 500 and something images.

SA's card was said to have 320 pictures but no other information was stated on the storage size of the card. You also have know other information as to how much storage space was used for the pc or pcs(not sure which)

I guess he could have zipped the file before storage but still that is alot of data. Anyone know anything about how this all works?

They didn't have to be full-resolution large photographs which are 2000-4000 pixels and over 3 MBs each.

"Images" could be anything from tiny thumbnails** from a webpage or saved pictures that are less than 1000 kb. Each would still count as one image and would be big enough to see. The smaller the kb and pixel size, the more you can store in a hard drive. They wouldn't have to be zipped at all in order to fit in a computer. We can't assume the pics were all the same size.

Video files were also mentioned. I hate to think what are in those!

ETA: **For instance the avatars here on WS are 100x100 pixels, and about 43 kb.

IMO, it's a despicable thing to have around the home where any kid can find, but I'm not jumping to conclusions that BD knew about the deviant images on SA's Mom's computer or that it was even child porn yet until LE says so. Also, I don't understand why Traffick911 is talking about child porn in relation to Haylie's case. Do they know something or did I miss something? But, it's odd that BD does not have a computer at the home. I'd like to know if she use to and if "someone" fried it with viruses due to looking up porn/and or deviant images or if it was gotten rid of.

Our household has had a computer since the late 80's, usually a Mac. Many times all of my photo's of the kids were stored on the box and I move them around with me like they are my prized possesions, always figuring I will get them off and printed or saved. Well, I have one in storage and recently lost one while trying to have it restored enough to get the pics off of it . I have had a couple of used windows puters given to us for kids to play games or what not but those always get virus's and junked pretty quickly. I am not puter savy. Luckily the two newest macs I had the money available to buy same day but if I couldnt afford one we would go without or pick up a used one.

I can't believe there was no computer in the home over the last two years. I find it in this day and age impossible to send kids to school without some kind of computer because so much school work is done on them, and required to be done from home. I have 6 daughters and two have their own laptops now and the other three spend about an hour each day online, usually school related.

Were they searching the landfill for a computer that was broken or out of service currently???
