But couldn't LA have watched the hearing on TV or internet just as we did? So he conceivably could have watched his parents testify. Just wondering why either side would take that risk.

Could be that the whole family feel above the law??..This family have a whole new dictionary..listed under Casey speak, Cindy Speak, Georgey speak..Lee Speak...As Cindy said in one interview..you have to understand..you have to know what Casey means..not what she says :floorlaugh:..This whole family are like that,,yikes talk about dysfunctional :crazy:

The fellow I sat next to commented during Yuri's testimony that Baez was ripping into that untrustworthy detective. "a new cop could estimate the weight and height of John Allen".

They didn't pan to Judge Perry that often during the hearing... I am wondering if he was keeping track of the Anthony's lies? I was really hoping to get a good look at him when George's statements contradicted with Cindy's or when either one of their statements contradicted with LE.

Because of the blaring inconsistencies in Cindy and George's testimony, would Judge Perry be more apt to go with LE's testimony when making his decisions?

You gotta hope so, but here is where I get into trouble, what seems like the best thing to do isn't always the legal thing to do.........the mirandizing portion of this case confuses me and I have LE history. The defense is arguing with LE (YM in particular) that they should have had perfect vision coming into the case - the smell, the stolen car report, the kidnapping, it all came at LE at the same time adn JB is arguing that LE should have 20/20 vision to see what was real, what were lies, and everything inbetween........

Oh yes, and he was beautiful to behold, both to look at and his response style. That part with Baez is a must see. 'Beach, you will fall off of your chair - it is outrageous. We could not figure out if Baez had switched to the SA side or not!!!

I'm still thinking JB did a good job showing it was unreasonable to believe that JA and YM didn't believe KC was guilty of something ,by admitting to all of KC's outrageous actions. It was a risk.He went out on a limb ,but with a purpose,and he just might win.:truce:

YM was outstanding and simply brilliant! BUT this was not for a jury it was for HHJP. Not his first rodeo.
I think the State can still win the case without the Universal statement,but it sure does make their job easier to include it.
HHJP is quite cautious.We shall see.

ETA: believe me,I'd rather see a total obliteration of the defense team's case!

anyone else come away from todays hearing bewildered at the A's behavior? Like this all happened yesterday. If I were HHJP I would have to superglue my mouth closed to keep the jaw from hitting the ground...the garbage between GA and LDB?????? I'm gonna just have to trust you all know how upset this is making me because otherwise I'll get timed out or banned!!!! Then what will I do????

And, of course, the "untrustworthy detective" would know enough under oath not to estimate. JB did not gain any ground with that question. jmo

What did JB do?

Too much to list, he was pitiful.
The best part was when he was trying to browbeat YM into saying ICA was a suspect and therefore should have been Mirandized. JB - (paraphrasing) when they were at Universal questioning her- so you knew my client lied to you about her job, you knew she lied to you about the Nanny, you knew she lied to you about Sawgrass apts, you knew she lied to you about the old folks home, so knowing she had committed a crime (lying to LE) you let her go on lying ( he thinks YM should have warned her at that point that she was in a very big hole)you did not give her Miranda warning?
YM says blissfully "No". "I was still tryiing to figure out, this is a missing child investigation, why would the Mother of a missing child lie to this extent?
the fact there was a missing child was more important
than why she was lying about all these things'.
So having said all that, JB still didn't get the answer he wanted and in trying to get it he told the world about his client lying and misleading LE at such a crucial time.

They couldn't even get that straight within themselves though, iirc one said YM said it and the other said it was Sargeant Allen. (and one said in person one on the phone)

Even better is that CA said GA was present when JA told her that.

CA is livid whenever LDB questions her - she can't boss her around like she does everyone else, and when she tries to take a diversion she gets brought back sharply.
She could NOT be more obvious in her lies if she tried. WS'ers who have read enough of this case can contradict her as she speaks....

I only got to see a little of the hearing, but what I saw...unbelievable. The exchange between Yuri and Baez...Baez's talk about the "ruse"...priceless...it was Yuri's one and only missing child case...I didn't think Baez expected him to say that...so how could he (Yuri) know what he would say to a mother of a "missing" child...he never encountered one!! I saw a big time smirk on Baez's face...wonder if his smirking has anything to do with his being caught off guard (he looked mighty embarrassed). Like...I can't get you with my questioning so I'll just show my utter disbelief with a smirk!!

Hah yes, and this exchange took place even though Yuri had said, earlier, that this was his first missing child case. IMO, JB should spend less time trolling WS, and, more time paying attention in court, lol.

Cindy on the stand;

-on the bandwagon trying to label Yuri as 'intimidating' to Casey.

-they were going to do an Amber Alert? I never knew that.

By the time they finished with Cindy it seemed obvious that Casey was treated fairly. imo

-they gave CA her cell phone back? and said " She can go ahead and use it." Interesting.

Cindy said Casey did not sleep/ [ BUT George said he went and 'woke her up' when the detectives arrived later that day.

When the judge admonished her, she began swinging back and forth in her chair, like a child would do. imo

Cindy is trying to find fault with her witness statement, and implies someone tampered with it.

Cindy would not agree with any of the facts offered to her, like officers names and times of the 911 calls and the times cops arrived at her home. WTH? NONE of that is going to be difficult to verify. Is he implying the state is lying about these facts?

Baez is sitting back there smiling and smirking for some reason. Does he think this is a win for him somehow?

THey [ cindy and a detective] called EVERYONE on Casey's cell that night. SO Zenaidas call was not evident, right from the start. Even though she had said that Caylee had called the previous day.

Cindy did NOT like the questions about Zenaida and about taking Casey to Zenaidas apartment that night. She was very resistant and kept saying she was out of the loop on that.
