Linda is really getting onto CA about her "expectations" of what exactly would happen after three 911 calls to LE.

Liking Linda's style.

Will I get a T/O if I say I honestly don't care what LKB has to say about this case - at all? You ran Linda when you found out there wasn't any money, just keep on going please....
sprained my finger on the thanks button....AMEN! She should not even be allowed to comment :loser:

I agree, but the law and the judge may not.The Universal statement wasn't about KC being a thief or embezzeler,IMO.It was about her lying about everything, including where she left Caylee ,IF she left Caylee.
By Universal ,LE already knew she wasn't working ,so why have a nanny? Why lie about where you last saw her?
They also knew about the smell in the car.
I absolutely believe they did what they had to do to find Caylee and find no fault with how they did it. I just think it may get tossed out .
What really bothers me is that we'll have to endure some gloating from the defense.

ETA : Actually ,YM didn't know ICA wasn't working ,only that she wasn't working at Universal ,so I'm correcting myself.
Still,HHJP has to consider if this can be an issue worthy of an appeal. He will most likely err on the side of caution ,IMO.

Where oh where is Scamperoo's ignore lalalalala smiley! No, will not think negative thoughts about what will be excluded until I absolutely have to.
Fingers in ears - lalalalalala......

Reaction by GA and CA to Yuri's reading of the "smell in the car" statement at JB's request. Note Jerry Lyons PI extraordinaire in the foreground (blue shirt).

Good evening guys and girls.

I just had to come out of lurking to post tonight.

I just had to say that I was totally dumbfounded by JB's performance today. If I had not followed this case from "day 31" and was tuning in to this hearing as someone who didn't know better, I really would have thought that JB was a prosecution attorney today.

He held his own client up as the absolute liar that she is for all to see. Then continued to hammer home that point nail by nail by nail. IMO his real agenda was completely buried in the avalanche. I know after all this time I really shouldn't be surprised at his ineptness, but i am truly gobsmacked!!!

WELCOME!!!!:yourock::welcome4:

I think JB was attempting to drive his point home that KC should have been mirandized. That LE considered her a suspect and such after the 911 calls and the car information and her lies...they should have immediately arrested her. He lost the point that she had been in custody for child neglect...or something connected with Caylee...Cindy A. wanted her daughter in handcuffs and interrogated by police (CA was using KC's credit card theft on CA's credit card) so that they would make KC tell CA where Caylee was. Didn't work.

If LE had immediately mirandized and arrested KC...the Defense would have argued that there was a rush to judgment. Just trying to have their cake and eat it too.

I think Judge Perry will take each lie...by lie...in their context...most likely all of the stuff she told LE will come in...including those statements at Universal Studios. It was made very clear she could stop speaking to them at any time and end the interview. She agreed on tape she wanted to help find her daughter and was voluntarily giving this information to Yuri and the other officer. Period.

Welcome to the group. Glad to have you posting on this site.

backpedal backpedal backpedal CA.

ICA was cooperating with LE in effort to help find Caylee when you were present while she was being talked to?

CA: yes

Did JB asking about YM reaction to GA saying a death smell in car, open that topic up for trial?

  • #1,250
I just read over at OS that there may not be a hearing on the Motion to showw cause as they may work it out between themselves. Does anybody think this is the reason that they were called to the bench at the end of the hearing? The only one's who seemed to be talking when they were up there is Baez and Ashton? Anybody??:banghead:

IMHO If it was the defenses sole intention to "drive" home his point that she should have been arrested and read her rights, he should of taken the bus cause he missed the boat! Cause he arrived to a place he didn't intend on. If you ask me he must of closed his eyes, clenched his teeth, tightened the grip to the point of white knuckles while praying..God someone please take the wheel!

I'm still thinking JB did a good job showing it was unreasonable to believe that JA and YM didn't believe KC was guilty of something ,by admitting to all of KC's outrageous actions. It was a risk.He went out on a limb ,but with a purpose, and he just might win.:truce:

YM was outstanding and simply brilliant! BUT this was not for a jury it was for HHJP. Not his first rodeo.
I think the State can still win the case without the Universal statement, but it sure does make their job easier to include it.
HHJP is quite cautious. We shall see.

ETA: believe me,I'd rather see a total obliteration of the defense team's case!

JB might win? What might he win?

Hal Boedeker weighs in: http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/entertainment_tv_tvblog/2011/03/casey-anthony-george-and-cindy-share-anguish-fury.html

He saves the best for last: "Outside the courtroom, Cindy Anthony said she wanted to talk to daughter, Belich reported. And George Anthony? He had choice words about the prosecutor that couldn’t be repeated on the air, Belich added."

Typical Anthony nonsense. GA hates the prosecution and the police. They were all mean to KC and trying to ruin her blameless innocent life. Cindy...needs to get a clue...YOUR daughter barely acknowledges you in court. It is within her purview to see you if she actually wanted to. It is within her control to write you just to say hi and mention nothing of the case. She CHOOSES not too. The state is not interested in framing KC. They are interested in Justice for Caylee...something Cindy nor George seem to care anything about...just whether or not KC got enough sleep after the police had been called. Poor KC...missing daughter for 31 days...and her parents were all worried in court today...that KC only got FOUR hours of sleep...wow. Just wow. And also seeing Casey handcuffed appears NOW to be more disturbing than Caylee being missing. First time Cindy saw her handcuffed? Huh...not for that juvenile offense we will never know anything about was Casey handcuffed?

I have no idea but I hope not!!! I want a Baez smackdown big time! I'm just feeling vindictive enough at the moment to be completely honest about it!

Yeah, and what was with George saying the worst/most traumatic day of his life with/for his family was seeing ICA in handcuffs?????? :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Yes, he really said that. I almost put my fist through my computer screen!

I am stymied by this motion and the fact we even have to argue it. Are the defense really trying to establish that what ICA told them that evening was under duress or should have been disallowable because she should have been mirandized.

Because if that was the intention, this is a really bad tact.

Linda has completely debunked this notion with her excellent cross of CA

So, here's what I saw... before the hearing the OCSO witnesses, Universal Studios witness and the detectives were in the hallway outside the hearings room when Michelle M. came out and wanted their contact info in case they were dismissed today and needed tomorrow. She began with "last name?" she even said that to John Allen and Yuri!!!! So the witnesses were still standing around when C.Mason got off the elevator and headed toward the hearings room and off-handedly says something cute like - didn't expect a welcoming committee or glad you could be here. When he's entered the hearings room, John Allen says "who was he?" I swear we know more than all them together!! Bob Keeling and Jim L came in together. The witness from Universal Studios made a joke about how well they're doing with the Harry Potter ride and someone suggests a backlot tour showing the "hallway" and gate she came through. (yeah!!) Lee, GA and CA came in together with CA's BFF and the Anthony's attorney. Lee was wearing jeans and a wrinkled untucked shirt. Shortly after the hearing began they all had to go out in the hallway and wait until they'd testified. Lee sat there all day and never got called as well as most of the OCSO witnesses and the guy from Universal. Lee did not appear to have an attorney. I wonder who the fellow was that sat in front of the Anthonys and spoke to them frequently. Someone told me that it was Jeremy Lyons but I thought Jeremy was a black man. (?) Holly Bristow was not present today. CA was wearing a huge diamond looking ring on her right hand. She appeared to have her wedding rings on. She often rubbed GA's back during testimony of the other witnesses. GA has hair loss. His scalp is visible under his hair and this appears to be a new thing. The Anthony's atty was texting on his phone while CA was testifying. Later he got out his IPad and was clicking away during testimony. When CA finished testifying at the recess they did not make eye contact. KC was writing and CA briefly looked her way. When CA was completely finished testifying they did make eye contact and CA mouthed I love you to her. Dorothy Sims sat with KC during the recess in the morning. When Baez came back, he sat with KC and she was making flirty eyes while talking to him. KC watched GA walk to the stand but neither of them looked at each other during or after his testimony. More tomorrow.

I thought the black PI was the PI that Andrea Lyon used...didn't ThinkTank post a "back of the head" photo of Jeremy Lyons from another hearing in an earlier thread???

(PS...THANKS SO MUCH for sharing your first hand observations!!!)
