Aaaaand... bring on the slap-down of this motion. HHJP: This privilege was designed to protect journalists and help preserve the first amendment right of freedom of speech, and more importantly to protect news-gathering sources. If we were to take the rationale given for this, "to see if Mrs Belich knows anything" then that would subject any news reporter who talks to someone to deposition solely for the purpose of a fishing exposition.
