So are we to assume that the Judge has been doing his own research about the hair banding...and that's the reason this all came up in Court today? At first when he brought it up, I wondered if the State had done something improper...silly me.

Discuss.

Houston.... we have a problem! I seen plenty of rum... and plenty of whiskey... where oh where is the Vodka?

Someone please tell me how subjecting the defendant (or anybody else) to DCS's meandering pointless, emotionless and never-ending examinations of witnesses does not fall under "cruel and unusual punishment"?

granted I think she thinks she is winning the "lawsuit" but egads!

If not "crue; and unusual" can the use of her examinations at least be an indicator of the defendants clear and present danger to self and others?

I am now dumber for having watched today's proceedings. My head is spinning - I totally have NO idea WTH the DT is saying, what point(s) they are trying to make, etc. Honestly, my head hurts.

How would CA be able to go when the location is not released to the public?

I am sure she will find out before the public, since she is a family member.

My point was more that nobody except the judge, lawyers, defendant and obviously prospective jurors can be there. People can't sit in and observe that I know of. :waitasec: There will be no gallery per se.

It will put you into a coma. My advice, read the hearing thread. It gives the basics without having to listen to Sims take 3978489274892748927489724 minutes to ask a simple question.

And then withdraw it. :floorlaugh:

I found you guys! :great: :great: :great:

pip, if there were any AHA moments yet today, they were buried under a pile of... tedium.

Well, the pink elephant part was pretty funny. :great:
So, I'm not quite sure why the plant growth stuff is subject to Frye...I've heard it used before...aren't we just looking for an opinion anyway? How could Hall examine the plants in the ground (where the root attaches to the soil...lol)...he would have to have been called immediately, I guess.

I'll tell you that the people who have subjected themselves to listening to this whole hearing today are the most dedicated people I have ever known. Today has been pure torture. Horrible. Even if the SA wins every motion, I will stay say that today was painful to endure.

I came in when she said she'd be quick...guess that wasn't the case?

I got here really late. Is the hearing over for today?
Thank you :)

Well we all know she can't keep her mouth shut.

I thought so too. AND ICA looks absolutely bewildered. I'd swear she was on meds today.

To be fair she was in the room getting the full effect of DCS's questioning of the witnesses. I think that is enough to anesthetize a pink elephant.
:banghead::banghead:

That is what I'm screamin'!!!!

Whatever happened to the motions for heart sticker and the stain? Weren't these to be argued today?
