BBM: It makes perfect sense! the ONLY reason the defense team is doing all these interviews is to try and combat the huge amount of negative publicity the media is spewing out about KC. Oh yeah, and all us idiot bloggers are saying such hateful things about her too. It is their duty to go out there and do these interviews for their client. they would not dream of doing it for publicity for their own sake, oh no. (<----------- sarcasm)

By the way, we aren't bloggers are we? I thought a blogger was someone who wrote a blog. People who comment on blogs, and comment on forums etc. are posters, aren't we? I don't want to be a blogger, they are idiots (according to CM, that is! I want to be a poster who writes thoughtful posts that spark lively and intelligent discussion. :innocent:

Just by his throwing his hispanishness up all the time, and proclaiming himself the most high profile hispanic lawyer and really talking it up. If he didn't keep mentioning it wouldn't occur to me what origin his name is. I could care less and he's come right out and said some of his criticism is because he's Hispanic, or something to that effect. Idon't care what country his parents or grandparents or whoever came from and I wish he would stop using it to divert from the real issue...there is a dead toddler that rotted in a swamp and two days before trial he's out yapping to media instead of dotting his Is. IMO.

Don't you guys get it, this association will, during the trial be a "back up" for JB sort of like the hispanic NAACP. They are going to go on the defense for JB if people get to saying negative (like inept atty,doesn't know nothing etc) things about him. Basically they are aligning them selves for JB. And who was it that brought it to the public's attention that Kathy's prior name was "Gallagher". As if it matters if her prior name were smith, cruz, patel or romano. It's America where we can be who we want, when we want and how much we want. We can be proud of our forefathers because in the end they all fought to allow us to be here today. Most of us are the end product of thousands of names before us and many of those names would probably take us by surprise. What does it matter if you have lived the life you can be proud of? You are an American, a Canadian, a British citizen, etc. You are proud of who you are so what does it matter what your name is and where it came from? And if you are a woman.....it could change numerous times.....lol.

I for one,am not minimalizing JB's achievements,I think it's wonderful that he has achieved what he has,after all this is America.However this case is NOT about his ethnicity it's not about his struggle to achieve,it's not about his discrimation,it's about the death of a small child. If he wanted to "toot his horn and his ethnicity", AFTER the trial I for one would understand,I think the focus needs to stay on this trial,his client, and the victim,not what social organization he currently belongs to,who's taking him to lunch,or what other hispanic persons are coming to his defense. Do your job Jose and the accolades you want will surely come to you.JMHO:twocents:

He did the 48hrs a couple of weeks ago now today with the Hispanic reports? Why is he giving the Spanish reporters a special interview? Is the jury coming from a Hispanic area? He also bad mouth Kathy B. in this interview IMO. How can he sit there and say Casey is not getting a fair trial because of the media, yet he is the only one out there talking? :banghead: He is so nice to these reporters yet treats the rest of them like garbage IMO...CM calls KB stupid, as well as the bloggers.. I can't wait for this case to get on it's way..and for Baez to eat his words.

ORLANDO, Fla. --Baez, took questions from a group of Hispanic journalists on Wednesday, just days before Casey Anthony's trial.

No cameras were allowed inside.

Defense is also waiting on key rulings if the air tests from Casey's car trunk will be admitted to trial.

Well to be fair to JB he was attending a meeting and who was the one who tipped off the radio station? Apparently JB did not call a news conference as this radio station alone seems to have shown up because someone tipped them off. JB should be able to attend a meeting as a member of a group that has nothing to do with CMA without being harassed. Isn't this one of their complaints. First off I would want to know who tipped them off before blaming defense. jmo

ETA: Well, apparently he is speaking to them now so I may have to take back my previous statements. LOL

I think it's safe to assume the DT tipped them off. He's trying to rehab his image a little bit before trial. I couldn't stomach the disgraceful sycophants surrounding him like he is some sort of learned superstar.

That is how I am taking it and I am 100% Puerto Rica/Hispanic...Shame on Baez..
