I asked this on the other thread, anyone?

If the appellate court denies the media's appeal about the non-disclosure of the jury selection location and they appeal to a higher court wouldn't that mean a definite delay in the trial?
Can the trial start if there are pending appeals? Please tell me I'm wrong!
