By Golly, put ME on the jury........ I literally would be drooling to get on this jury.

like I said before, I believe in a higher power and the Right people who are supposed to be on the jury will be on the jury.

I believe in fate

I'm up to seven men (I counted the airline guy because I think the airline will work with him) and six women.

  • #1,403
single, unemployed man, no objections.

  • #1,404
Juror #1319
Woman - long ause - Yes hardship - don't like to judge people, Judge - God didn't put me here to point finger -
HHJP: other than religious reason to serve?
Juror: not comfortable to do that
HHJP: no family or financial reason to serve?

State
Defense objects about religion as excuse
not Excused

What's the difference between allowing this lady to serve, knowing she cannot convict, and allowing someone in whose mind is made up and is all ready to convict?

"What is your schedule like for the next 2 months?"

Isn't that what the judge basically asks when he says they will be sequestered for 6-8 weeks? What is the point of him asking what already has been asked?

Thats sad he works for a restoration company and they wouldnt compensate him. Thats really sad!!!

Does anyone know how many males and how many females have not been excused? It seems there's more men than woman being retained for additional questioning.

IMO, there isn't any difference as far as selecting a juror. I guess he was saying that he was considering Casey guilty until proven innocent..........LOL

I bet KC hates hearing all these people speak of their jobs, family, schooling, plane tickets purchased for vacation, people with lives to live. Bet she thought everyone would be clamoring to get on her jury.

Her mind is not necessarily made up about guilt or innocence--just that she could not convict someone knowing that they may then face the death penalty.

Hopefully both sides are trying for jurors whose minds are not made up at all at this point.

Ok - a quick google and Florida does not require compensation for Jury duty time

  • #1,415
How many jurors have they already gone through?

I'm at 7 men and 6 women. I could be wrong though... by one of two?

The companies get contracts with customers. If he isn't there to do the work they have to pay someone else to do it.

Given the sad state of the real estate and construction business these days, contract work is very competetive.

Right, but someone who goes into it knowing she cannot convict, guilty or not, should not serve, she is just as biased.

This guy now, is a shredder.

Can they live without him for a little while?

But he is a student unlike KC.

Is it just me or do a large majority of these "young" sounding men sound like they could fit in with Tony Lazzaro and his roomies?
