My wife is afraid of the dark. OMG
I actually had the insane hope they might pick a jury today. Now, I don't believe they will even get through the first 110.
I guess KB was right that the jury consultant is not with them? Wouldn't he be there?
They were IMO hoping she'd cause a disruption to the trial by needing to leave.
Not really. Perhaps his wife suffered a trauma in the past like rape, robbed, etc, and as a result, she's afraid of being alone at night. We just don't know.This guys excuse sound a bit lax. His primary reason is his wife is afraid of being left alone??
When I served as a juror I had to turn in my stipend to my employer and they paid me my regular salary. Not unusual.
