HHJP is doing a good job keeping this moving.

This potential juror seems like a good one for the state. "In good conscience I can't say there is anything imminent that would prevent me from serving."

  • #784
How many jurors so far are on the plus side?

  • #785
I just thought that it's quite likely this jury turns out to be mostly male - us girls got the kids and parents to care for...

I have to agree with you - older males predominantly............maybe some older females. Hopefully some grandmas.

1152 - single, not paid for jury service

Didn't realize until this current juror, that jurors would be using their vacation time if they needed to. What a sacrifice for them to make!

That would be enough to have hostile jurors.

single man again with a southern accent. would not get paid so would be hardship. works for didn't catch it something dental?

  • #789
HHJP - can you verify that with emplyer
1152 - I write the policy

I like this potential juror, she is on top of everything, NOTE TO MASON - SHE ALREADY WENT THROUGH HER ALLERGIES. Don't need ask about it.

She seemed very organized, maybe foreman/ foreperson material too.

Hello all, second trial at WS, just came over from Cooper. Trying NOT to be a "She did it" kinda person and want to see where the evidence leads. Have heard a LOT about this trial, but want to separate the stories from the ACTUAL events. Please be patient with me.

Now that was funny-OM wrote the policy not to pay jurors.

Question: I have not heard them bring up prior knowledge of this case or if they have a preconceived idea as to guilt, etc. Is that in a later phase of questioning or did I miss it? tia

I think this juror (dental guy) just doesn't want to do it. Plain enough.

  • #795
Now that was sad since he writes the policy for the company. :blushing:

  • #796
Mr. Mason objects to excusal and so he is subject to recall.

#7 juror 1152 - male

would be hardship - single no income if does jury duty -would be in bankruptcy by end of case. Company would not re-visit policy

defense objection for financial hardship - not excused - tell him to discuss policy w employer

  • #798
Defense objected to excusing him. He is not excused, asked to talk to his employer about their policy.

  • #799
Mason objects to excusing this guy for financial hardship.

I believe this first part has to do with whether serving would be a hardship to the juror.
