Mason objects to excusing this guy for financial hardship.

Do you think Mason is dragging this out because I see NO way they're going to get thru 100 jurors today. They're on what - #8 or #9 and it's lunchtime? I don't get his objections? Like the poor gal who was taking care of her 82 year old father. Or someone for financial hardship.

On that note, I could definitely serve (as a SAHM). Hubby could take care of our son (he gets off at 2:00), and I wouldn't have to do housework - woo hoo! It would be a vacation (as long as the hotel had a pool).

Only problem - I spend way too much time "blogging" as they say.

What a life experience though!

It's a good thing we have WESH TV providing a live courtroom feed. Here in the west coast time zone, the TV network formerly known as Court TV has finished airing infomercials titled "Get Hot!" and "Sexy Faces" and begun broadcasting three-hour-tape-delayed coverage of jury selection.

From what I can see, she is terrified. She immediately started crying when His Honor read the charges. I am going to say the State objected to the crying in front of prospective jurors, because JP said to ignore all emotions.

I had formerly thought that she would not receive the death penalty but after hearing that the State had won 27 out of 30 cases between them for the death penalty, I have changed my mind. She is in so deep, it will take a miracle and I know that miracles don't exist (I don't believe they do anyway and she is not a candidate if they do). In short, she could very well get the death penalty. I don't know how she is standing.
