Me too. I thought employers had to pay for jury duty..guess I learn something new every day.

They can't fire you for being away for jury duty but they don't have to pay you.

HA HA, AGAIN..."most people don't" think about the camera! Only JB :)

Juror 1324: Woman in her 50's. Owns her own pet sitting business. Wouldn't get paid. Too long without salary. Only employee at her business. Husband works also. "Wouldn't starve, but it would be challenging". Would be difficult to pay all expenses. "If it was 2-3 weeks, could probably do it. 2 months is too long." Wants to be able to serve, but would suffer financially.

Oh.... I love it.

As Judge Perry reminds this lady she is not being photographed, she responds that she isn't even thinking about that. Judge Perry says, "Most people don't."

:giggle:

I feel sorry for that Puero Rican dude if he makes it on the jury. ICA will be flirting with him like mad!

She and JB will be competing for his attention!

is it just me or was Ca looking angry at the pet sitter?

Every time he says don't worry you are not being photographed it makes me think the person is combing their hair or putting makeup on. LOL LOL

Why would a minority be a good juror for the defense?

Especially since Casey tried to throw a Hispanic woman under the bus for "kidnapping" Caylee.

But I think it's because the DT thinks a minority would be swayed by JB.

Bless her heart, this lady sounds like she feels a big responsibility to her juror duty. And just can't financially... :(

I am so impressed how personally interested HHJP is in each of these jurors. When this woman said she owned a pet sitting business and she is the only employee, HHJP face lit up with interest - he said Ohhh, and smiled.

I saw Brad Conway there too. Can not figure out why he would be interested enough to go over for jury selection. Didn't he wash his hands of all of this?

That's what I thought, seems odd that he'd be there?!

I really think that casey anthony wouldnt exactly like this woman. She likes to take care of her obligations. moo

Realistically who can go without income for 2 months? Not me.... particularly since they are asking this today and expecting them to start next Monday. Hardly enough warning to make such a commitment is it?

But I think it's because the ST thinks a minority would be swayed by JB.

Or so he would like for you to believe :maddening:
