The media definitely has the right to report news on missing kid cases, but shows like NG do go way too far, and possibly taint jurors. The commentator on the show tonight was right imo. This case was covered and covered with all sorts of characters giving out gossip and their own self serving opinions. Only the facts point people to Casey's guilt, but rumor, hatred, and gossip contribute to her getting a lesser sentence than she deserves. NG, of course, didn't mention that. Really crazy things were reported by people that made Casey look better. The same thing happened with Haylee Cummings, but just not quite as much. Hopefully someone will eventually wake up to the harm it may be doing. The defense probably doesn't in any way want a juror that never heard of the case, but someone who has heard, and hates or blames parents of criminals, and has heard every thing said about Casey's.
