Interesting day. The SA`s opening statement, ICA`s reactions, the defense strategy based on Caseys vicious lies about her father have me convinced she is a narcissistic, manipulative sociopath and that she commited first degree murder.

It is evil that Casey is portrayed as the victim of abuse, of incompetent Le.

She won't walk. I'm convinced of that more now than ever, after today's events. I'm also convinced that she is even more deadly & diabolical than I initially imagined and it would NEVER be safe for her to be out on the streets.

MissJames I think there might be a high probability that Cindy will go along with the DT theory. Perhaps she might surprise us all, much like George did today.

CA would have to admit that she knew there was sexual abuse and did nothing about it. KC claims herself she went to her mother and her mother did not believe her which is probably because KC has lied so much and her story just was not believable. I do not think CA would do anything to hurt her son, ever. In order to go long with DT theory that has to include LA. jmo

I just have to say WHAT a day!!! I was effectively rendered speechless - only after I yelled at my laptop during JB's opening statement - something to the effect of: "OMG, they've just driven the bus over half the state of Florida!" I was tempted to call my dear friend who lives in that state and tell her to stay in, 'cause she might be next!

I seem to remember [and my memory isn't all that great] that there was a discussion at the time of the memorial service about Cindy Anthony holding onto a teddy bear. At that time, someone speculated that Caylee's ashes were inside. Anyone else remember this?

I watched a bit of the trial today...but I have it DVR'd...
Hubby, who did not follow the case...watched today....at first he thought Baez was doing a good job but by the end of the day changed his mind...he thought Baez should not be arguing this case.

Hubby said Ashton should just keep standing ready to Object..no point in sitting down

I am even more disgusted in Casey and Baez than ever before...
I thought Baez bombed on the cross examination of George...

Off to watch LDB's opening statements

Husband just got home and I tried to explain today to him.Exercise in futility,shoulda kept my mouth shut.
He insists there has to be a way for the DT to bring in evidence if it new or if ICA just told him this.

Someone mentioned earlier that they wanted George to admit that Caycee killed Caylee and then he would have redeemed himself.

I have never blamed the Anthonys for not wanting to believe Caylee was murdered by her mother. I think that is a very hard truth for someone to accept about someone you love. I just did not want them to actively defend her through lies and manipulations. George stopped that today and I hope he and Cindy continue to do that for Caylee's sake and for Lee's sake.

The defense is beyond disturbing and I just don't know how the jury could think Caycee is telling the truth about the sexual abuse when she has lied about so much else.

I said something along those lines at the end of the days testimony. Specifically I said:

Sorry peeps, but I don't buy this from GA. I don't see him standing up for Caylee as much as rather he is there to clear his name. His reputation is shot no matter what he says from all the previous lies he has told and the actions he has engaged in.

When he states he believes and knows ICA murdered Caylee, then he will be on Caylee's side.

I cannot discount all the lies both he and CA, which were bad enough. Their actions were deplorable. However, I do give GA credit for NOT going along with JB. But he is by no means redeemed of his past either by today's testimony.

If anyone argues in court that ICA should have/could have brought up the drowning at anytime in the last 3 years.I think he means the SA's.
