I interpreted that as George trying to control his anger. I'm sure it must have been very upsetting to be accused of molesting your child in such a public forum, and George is known to be volatile. I saw him as taking a second to control that anger and then I felt his response was very believable.

I think it's because until that moment, he himself did not know if he was gonna jump under the bus and lie for ICA or not. when he raised his head, that is when he knew he would not lie to save her.

Three pieces of duct tape slapped to a two-year-old babies face is enough evidence for me as to the cause of death and I think the jury is going to agree. The State has all the forensic evidence on their side to prove that Caylee did not die accidentally, imo. Caylee was in that trunk decomposing. They are not going to believe for one moment that George basically framed Casey. They should have said it was simply an accident... left everything else out... and said she was scared! Instead, they had to add a bunch of ridiculous subplots to a story that didn't need any. They went for Shock and Awe... and they did get it... but now what?? It has worn off and we are back to where we started... the State is going forward with their case as planned and they have nothing to refute the massive amounts... even if it is circumstancial evidence... that points to murder!

Keep reminding the jury of that ridiculous story, Jose. The more you do... the more the jury is going to want PROOF!

I just don't know how they are going to wriggle out of this. We have had 3 witnesses now and they have been grilled by the prosecutors, but had 5 or 6 questions by the defense. Its a shoe in. This girl will get the death penalty because of a weak defense. I could do a better job ffs

I wish we knew the line up of witnesses for the week.......even if a tentative list.

If I remember correctly, the morning that Baez is saying Caylee drowned, don't they have phone records from Casey's phone and the A's home. Would this not disprove the "drowning" theory.

They've got em - what they're saying is that the incident happened before GA left for work - for what it's worth, GA does call ICA from his cell shortly after ICA returns to the house that afternoon. ICA's phone use was pretty heavy that day if I recall correctly - nothing out of the ordinary

I have a question.

If Baez knew all along that Caylee was dead, wouldn't he be required to tell someone of authority that the child was no longer living?

Could he really as an officer of the court continue holding that information back even during the time when they were still searching for her body? :waitasec:

I am not saying he would have to tell the who what when and where either.

I believe this was answered in our Lawyer thread, IIRC he is obligated to keep ICA's secrets.

Geez, WHAT is their deal? I cannot believe that they've thrown out their credibility trying to prop up this DT. I had such respect for them back in the Peterson trial days. Now - zero respect.

Is it because Baez will be their newest employee at the conclusion of this trial and they need to prop him up?

Or is it because the DT has promised the EXCLUSIVE interview with ICA if she is acquitted (lol I know)? If so, they are in for a rude awakening because Baez has apparently promised that same exclusivity to WESH, 48 Hours and Geraldo.

It's ratings, that's all. If they go on and on that the DT is cooked, no one will care to watch anymore. They have to give the illusion that the DT has room to win this, for their own ratings.

It's pretty much a well known fact, now, that IS is in bed with the defense. Jean and Beth practically gush when talking about JB. Hope he's worth all that to them.

I think I would lay my head low to if anyone ever accused of me something like that. The embarssment, anger of knowing I didn't do it and how Baez Directed the penis comment I'd want to spit a few bad words at him . It has to be tough on George facing everyone after those comments. I'm one who doesn't believe she was sexually abused. Example when Baez said that the lady sitting in front of him almost twisted her neck to see him. Did she believe it? I don't know but she look disgusted and wanted to see George. I'm sure he seen alot of glares when that comment was made. He did great on the stand he held his head high and looked straight forward for the most part, but I think he wanted to lash at Baez and composed himself so he looked down and tied thinking elsewhere.

Not to mention he was probably so incredibly hurt that his daughter would do that to him. It has to hurt more than I can imagine!

I agree. The jury was probably shaking their heads in massive confusion that JB did not question George about these accusations. It made no sense at all to do all that finger pointing and then... NOTHING! NADA! ZIP! I think he lost his shock and awe moment and he will not be able to regain it once the state lays down their case. It almost looked like JB was backing away from his story.

That and lets also keep in mind that to these jurors GA has a clean slate. They don't know him the way we do. So all his other past exploits during the build up of this trial (like lying in the civil depo and being beligerant during questioning) are non existent to the jury at this point.
