I'm really leaning towards JB had someone take his bar exam I mean really JB couldn't grasp what the judge told him that any attorney should know of not able to ask a witness about something until it is submitted as evidence. HELLO rule 1

Rule #2 Don't ask a question that you don't know the answer to!

I'm not a lawyer and I know this.

I think he went to Cracker Jack Box U!!:floorlaugh:

Another thing that occurred to me: JB better instruct ICA to stop crying on cue. It kinda blows his theory that she didn't cry or get upset over "the drowning" because she's a victim of sexual abuse. Can't cry, or even act concerned when your child drowns, but listen to your attorney speak in court about how your daddy messed with you, and WHAM! Waterworks.

Not good, JB. Not good, AT ALL.

Exactly!

BBM...I tend to agree with you. Maybe a few "PATS" here and there but nothing extensive. ICA's whole "untouchable" attitude, compulsive lying, and spoiled demeanor gives more of the impression of someone who has never really had to answer to her wrong doings, and has got away with things her whole life....and quite frankly...not PUNISHED enough.

Even if you punish a sociopath - it doesn't help - it's not like you can teach them anything if they don't want to learn it. They just move on to a different, new and bigger type of manipulation.

It's why our jails are full of them, and so are the stock markets...:innocent:

I must say that one of my favorite parts today was JB complaining to CJBP about the Media. :laughcry:

Even CJBP had seemed to have a hard time with it. :giggle:

What is that old saying? :waitasec:

Ahhh yes - "you reap what you sow"

I am pretty sure these "special breaks" are cigarette breaks. He now calls them morning breaks and mid-day breaks as far as I can tell today. If he called them what they were, you'd have a bunch of anti-smoking advocates down his throat. It's not like he is allowing the jurors to go light a spliff or anything. :floorlaugh:

Before this trial is over they're gonna wish they could smoke a spliff *and* get a couple of shots at breaktime.

Did he ask for a mis-trial? Or are you saying the way the DT is doing is asking for a mis-trial?

He absolutely said he would file for a mistrial. His basis is because of the parade of ICA's ex-friends testifying to her demeanor and her "lack of remorse", which of course none of them has testified she was showing a lack of remorse. He's trying to have his cake & eat it too and HHJP basically told him he was full of it, there is no basis for a mistrial. Several pages towards the end of todays' afternoon session has snippets of what happened.

Good grief -- how can I get away from Vinnie Politan??? He's on whatever channel I turn to saying the most idiotic things! He just said Tony's testimony that Casey never said George sexually molested her bolsters the defense story. Every insight he has is the opposite of what makes sense. Where are the sane commentators? i need to tune in there.

 STEADFAST

 Thank you is not enough. That Vinnie guy is more wrong than anything I have ever heard. Words do not describe how idiotic the things are that come from his mouth. It is like he is just saying whatever comes to his mind, his closed down ignorant mind...

:okay: I feel better now. :tyou: for your post.

Did anyone see the interview with GA and CAs attorney on the today show this morning?...I bet a lawsuit is in the making right now JMO

Good on em'! :rocker:

I haven't seen the interview.

They came back on with it and replayed what I assume to be most of it, but I have not really been watching too closely so I don't know HOW LONG the whole "extra session" lasted.

Here's a youtube with that segment on it--

And to top it off he basically told the media to keep hounding them because there is nothing he can do about it off court property! I was LOVIN' IT!!! Karma in it's finest :)

Before this trial is over they're gonna wish they could smoke a spliff *and* get a couple of shots at breaktime.

Someday soon a California jury will declare their prescriptions for medicinal cannabis.

And the judge can deny a mistrial, correct?

Just got home from work a little bit ago....working in a hotel after a catastropic disaster (tornado in joplin, mo) makes for a loooong day. I DVR the trial on In Session every morning, but when I get home I don't have time to sit and watch it because I have 4 children to take care of and there aren't enough hours in the evening before bed to do so! Sooooo I was wondering if there was a thread for any "bombshells" that might come out in the day to day testimony? Or maybe a place to get a cliffnotes version of the day's testimony? I will say that I am sure anything "bombshell-ish" would probably get it's own thread (?) I don't really know what I am trying to say...it makes sense in my head, I just don't want to miss anything in this trial and these threads move so fast that I am afraid I will get lost and miss out!

I am so upset over all of this tonight. I honestly never thought I'd feel this emotional about the things I am hearing in court.

I need a whole thread to myself just to vent all of this out..lol

Can we please have a Vent thread just for trial?:innocent:

Good idea! I'm scared to type anything for fear of a time out. There were a lot of choice words I wanted to use a few times. I'm proud of my self control.. It wasn't easy

CM really did at the end of today - He wants to file a motion for a mis-trial.

One question I have: What is this special 'reason' the judge hints at to take breaks? He will ask, 'do we need a 'special' break? You folks know what I'm talking about.'

And I'm shaking my head and saying, "No, no I don't know what you're talking about!"

Can someone enlighten me please?

XACTLY....WHY IS THE STATE OPPOSING admitting THE TESTIMONY THAT IS COUNTER TO THE SEXUAL ABUSE CLAIM

not to mention the "SECRET" that was left hanging in front of the jury?

I didn't understand that. I understood they do not want it admitted at this time. It is out of their timeline - that's why Baez did a proffer. He can introduce it when he can try to put it into evidence later.

Hey, Vinnie was pretty sharp toward the end. He was a fast learner, and Baez might want to watch his technique. He could use the help!

Jose loves his "we don't have to prove anything" line. I am watching my first trial, so I don't know how much of what Jose is throwing out there that "has" to be proved or not proved?

I guess he can just say that this person did this and this person did that, and even when someone gets on the stand and refutes it...he gets to still say that happened?

I thought when we got to trial it would be time for rules, time for the truth to come out, no more games no more hiding...

but alas... :dramaqueen: this is not the case. I am glad I signed off when I did, hubby was home from work...and the rest of the day was Jose trying to get TL to say that Casey told him she was "abused" by George.

Well, how "abused" do you think this jury feels? Will feel in a few weeks? I think the message is clear from this jury: we will work holidays. :winko:

:waiting: for Casey to get her comeuppance.
