"The child was missing" was keeping in the time line with evidence from the car. Caylee had not been found yet.

JB will refrain from saying Caylee in the trial to keep the focus on his client, to keep it separate in the jurors minds. This is normal for trial.

No, Caylee's skin cells showing no decomp. The ONLY way that could happen is if Caylee was alive when the duct tape was applied.

If that's the correct science, and I don't know if it is or isn't, I fully expect the state would use that. I personally wouldn't be surprised to find that, because I'm almost 100% convinced, at this point, that Caylee was duct taped while she was still alive.

I'm sorry all but I'm new here . . . I don't understand the jocularity in a case concerning a murdered 2y/o. Particularly humor equating pizza with the odor of this young child's decomposing body.
Perhaps I need a different venue to follow the trial ?

I have been following this case way before I ever heard of Websleuths. I'm so glad to be able to come here and accutaly see a live trial and to learn the truth

All that you follow and adhere to in your daily job is not correct, correct? When you are saying that someone is an expert you do not mean they should be listened to, correct? All of the methods you use to do your job are suspect, are they not?

And the science, well, (laughing so hard at you...so hard...) is not science at all. Is it Miss whoever...I am over here can you stop looking at the jury and tell me what I want to hear...tell me what I want this jury to hear and that is that nothing that you do is science. It is junk. Your job is junk. The people that do studies that you have been involved in do not know what they are doing, or you are just trying to state that to bolster your point.

That is what you want, isn't it? To bolster YOURSELF so you seem better? So that what you say is taken to have merit? You offer your opinions based on what? And you presume to offer those opinions even though you know, you KNOW it is based on nothing.

And, wouldn't you say that everything I am saying is correct?

Maybe it is just a matter of the hair on the duct tape shows pulled hairs, like Caylee's little body struggling, the hair gets pulled and ripped out of her head where as if she was already deceased there would be far less pulled hair? Does this make sense?

Maybe not, time for me to stop thinking about this case and go do something else.

JB tries to dumb down everything to the point of nausea. I do not think the jurors appreciate it, the witnesses definitely don't. He has made some good points but he takes too long to get there by dumbing down and beyond. The jurors just want to go absorb the info, rest, space out, and for the attorneys to just make the point. No scenic childhood walk through semantics needed.

I think it is well known that jurors do not like this approach, in fact, in this case, may feel they are more adept at figuring out what is going on than JB is.

Also, according to Jean Casarez, the female juror who didn't like to judge people had not taken a single note until she was watching the "sweet" jail tape (between GA and ICA, I believe) where ICA seemed all concerned about her family, etc. At that point, according to Jean Casarex, the lady juror got her notebook out and wrote, and wrote, and wrote. :banghead:

Jose bringing up "that child was missing."

Jose is getting confused about what story he is defending, I think. He is supposed to be there for an accidental drowning, but he keeps on arguing everything else. Does anybody else know what I am talking about? I am not sure I do...but it is something...

It is like Jose really forgets what the opening statements were, what is it he is arguing? He just argues against what he can as each thing comes up, and those things do not always go with his opening statements. I guess that is his plan, rip and pull? He must be counting on that ole "the defense is not required to prove anything."

Which is great, if the prosecution does not have a solid case. In this case, we have the State telling it the way it is while Jose dances around each subject interjecting Casey latest and greatest "Hit." (ie. her lies)

Everyday, more and more I am convinced this has all been Casey. She is the CEO running the show. Oh, and I think D. Sims is fed up with ICA since she saw the jailhouse videos, and has not been as physical as we have seen happen with team member after team member. Then Ms. Sims did not do the cross regarding the subject she argued during the Frye hearings. Some have suggested that Jose wanted the "gotcha" moment, and some have suggested that Ms. Sims might have not wanted to: we don't know which is which but we do know she was not the one who did it.

This is all so crazy, it can only be Casey running the show. Well, HHJP is running the show while Casey only runs her defense.

I thought DCS did a terrible job at the Frye hearings but of course so did JB. Neither seemed to understand at the time what they were supposed to be arguing pertaining to Frye much to JA and JP's frustration. I really do think the wind was taken out of her sails at that time. She has conceded to be out of her element and didn't want to be embarrassed.

I too have noticed a dramatic change in her attitude toward Casey since seeing those jail videos as it seems have many by the numerous comments being made about it.

I wouldn't take it too seriously. The night before on all the talk shows they were talking about the same juror eying Casey up during the videos with her parents as if she didn't approve. It's their take so...

Did anyone see the clip I think it was either HLN of JVM or NG where JB was taking pictures outside of court house after trial yesterday with a (2) girls/young ladys.

His arrogance reminds me of Scott Peterson lawyer MG.

I sure wish ICA had seen this clip up on the computer she was using this morning.

ITA...the way I see it though, he's more than likely trying to explains things in his own mind. He doesn't have a firm grasp of the evidence and is probably working off the notes that LKB left with the team.

Justice for Caylee is coming and this is a very serious matter that we have all been committed to and made a part of our lives for 3 years. Today was heavy testimony and as Judge Perry said in court this week, " a little levity is good".

So, my votes on best performers to represent the players in this case:
1. Judge Perry - Forrest Whittaker (great suggesion upthread)
2. Ashton - Barry Bostwick
3. Casey - Christina Ricci
4. LDB - Jodie Foster
5. Jose Baez - John Lovitz (another great suggestion upthread)

Neither JB or DS have years of experience in a Death Penalty case. That is why they do not do very well. This is their springboard.
