I don't think Caylee died in her home or in the back yard. I do believe she was placed temporarily on the ground in the back yard within a few days after death because KC had not found a place to dispose of her, so brought her to the back yard to bury her. Even a day after death would certainly be long enough for residue to be desposited there that trained dogs could detect though odor might not have been strong enough that soon to be noticed by humans just a few feet away. Also, this would be long enough for residue to have been deposited in the car trunk, eventually staining the carpet.

KC could not dig the hole, so she put the body back in the car (now triple bagged) where it continued to decompose. Maybe she continued searching for a disposal place for awhile but when the odor of decomp became very noticeable, the pet burial site area ended up being all KC could come up with.

Just curiouse, where are you thinking she died? Car? or other?

What I caught of the FBI witness was not so great. Seems he needed lots of practice on being clear and concise. Wasn't sure who called this witness. Am I off base and missed to much of the testimony?
I wasn't sure either I don't think it mattered because if the SA didn't call him JB would make a big deal of it. BUT Nursebeeme has assured me its all good so I can sleep tonight. ( Without any assistance from KC).

I'm done ranting! Thank you all for being here!

:tyou:

Good morning!! Links in my siggy and also a Casey cam. :)
I am so sorry for your loss of your brother, Alan and his wife, Lisa. It must be difficult for you. I am glad you have posted this information and will be keeping you and your family in prayer. May God mend your hearts and comfort you throughout the grieving process. Shalom

Wow! Just was able to watch the video of Gerus finding the body in the pond! Wow!

What an awesome dog he is.

Can anyone direct me to when in the day ICA was handing Jose stuff during cross? I am reading bits and pieces of it and I didn't watch the whole day. Would LOVE to see that.

Sorry to quote myself, still looking for an answer. I read in other places that KC was vigorously trying to hand a book or something to JB WHILE he was doing cross exam. Did this happen? If so could someone direct me as to which witness?

If ICA laid Caylee in the backyard after death, was she killed at home and how? Did she drowned her in the pool, that's why she is now saying it was a drowning?

Was she killed in the car and then brought home, laid in the backyard while ICA borrowed a shovel to try and bury her in the backyard? Gave that up, too hard, put her back in the trunk and eventually the wheel well to her final resting place in the woods?

I can't see a drowning at all. I thought the duct tape was placed pre-mortem?

Just a little side note to share. I just realized my DH is following this case more than I thought. At 8:00 I asked what do you want to watch on TV? Gave him choices all of which he declined. Gave him NG he said yeah ok whatever you want to watch lol

Today she was the one who handed JB the dog guide book. I found that very strange and wondered what the jury would think of it. It really made her seem arrogant to me; as though she is not at all humbled by being charged and in a courtroom. Who knows, maybe the Defence is using this as a strategy to later show just how deranged she is?

I am SOOOOO glad a second dog and handler, alerted as well. I'm assuming we will see that testimony tomorrow

Last Friday or Saturday I am almost sure I heard the judge ask the SA how much longer they thought they would be and when they would be through with their evidence. I thought Linda said next Friday. Did anyone else hear that? tia

Yes.................LDB said the state expects to conclude their case in chief on Friday, June 17th. So, we're looking at another 10 days of the state's case.

For those of you who aren't watching their waistlines:

I wish they would show the jury about how these dogs are trained, and how they ONLY hit on human decomp. They are awesome, truly incredible. I love to watch them work, whether they're trained for bombs, drugs, money, decomp.... their noses are their secret weapon. They start their training when they are only 6 weeks old..... and they don't enjoy "puppyhood" very much, i'm afraid...

I believe the jury needs to see this so they can understand that the testimony of the dogs is unimpeachable and unequivocal. They KNOW when they find what they are seeking, and yes, Jose - these dogs talk.

I can't think of any circumstance at all where taping across a child's nose and mouth makes it look like a kidnapping. It looks like murder. I don't even understand the idea that it's a mock-kidnapping? Don't kidnappers keep their victims alive and write notes hoping to get money from the victim's family? How does duct tape across both airways relate to a kidnapping scenario? I haven't even seen this in a movie!

Here reading tonight to see what I may have missed since leaving work @ 5pm.

Dr. Drew on TV (I don't care for him just listening to the talking heads)

Judge Alex on there and he just called Dr. Vass Dr. Decomposition.:floorlaugh:

He said it in a good way.

It was placed pre-mortem. IIRC, Caylee's hair that was stuck in the duct tape did NOT show the "death band"

That hurt just typing that :(

I really do not think she believes she is on trial. I think she believes it is the prosecution and all their witnesses that are on trial and she is the jury.
